NFL 2012 SEASON
I guess I'd have to hear in what context that statement was said.

I, personally, was pleasantly surprised when I heard him speak the first time. Very articulate.

Maybe he sounds too 'white' for some in the black community?

Talking about stuff like that is so stupid.

Remember how the black community was giving shit to one of the members of the women's olympic gymnastic team because she wasn't 'black' enough for them?

She becomes the first woman of color to ever win an all-around gold medal in the history of women's gymnastics, and stupid fuckers can only talk about the fact that she 'sounds and acts' too white.

I was too, he sounds educated.

That very same commentator said, well, he's a bro because he wears braids BUT his fiance is a white girl. I was what the fucking all over the place.

The commentators name is Rob Parker -

Rob Parker managed to turn Stephen A. Smith into the voice of reason on "First Take" on Thursday. This unexpected development occurred after Parker asked his fellow panelists on ESPN's debate program if Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is "a brother or is he a cornball brother?"

Even Skip Bayless -- no stranger to introducing race into conversations about Griffin -- had to ask "What does that mean?"

“Well, he’s black, he kind of does his thing. But he’s not really down with the cause, he’s not one of us,” Parker answered Bayless. “He’s kind of black. But he’s not really the guy you’d really want to hang out with because he’s off to do something else.”

Parker's questions come one day after Griffin answered questions about the relationship between his race and his career and identity.

"For me, you don't ever want to be defined by the color of your skin,'' Griffin said on Wednesday, via Tom Corbett of USA Today Sports. "You want to be defined by your work ethic, the person that you are, your character, your personality. That's what I've tried to go out and do."

First and foremost, hats off to RGIII for making something of himself and hopefully providing inspiration for other young people that will listen to his words and use them to better themselves.

For the rest of the 'Black' community, those that say he's turned his back on them... SHAME ON YOU!

I'd think you'd want a role model who represents himself in a positive way, who uses terms like 'work ethic' and 'character'.

I don't get it.

It isn't black people making those comments, it's the niggers.

They make sure to keep racism alive and kicking.

I hate double standards and reverse bigotry. It's not alright.

Heh Heh

ESPN commentator Rob Parker has been suspended “until further notice” for remarks questioning Robert Griffin III’s blackness, according to a statement from ESPN.

User, I'm watching your QB Kaepernick, and he's not impressing me yet.

Sure, he's got size and speed, but he's made a couple of terrible decisions tonight on throws into coverage.

The Pats are hanging around and the Niners should have put this out of reach by now.

Thank you Falcons!!

Did you see who's officially listed as the last wild-card team in the NFC right now??

The Minnesota Vikings.

However, we have to beat the Texans and Packers to clinch a berth.

Ms, I was hoping the Falcons would kickass today and maybe for once get a little respect.

Can you tell me why we are the best in our division and aren't getting much credit?

This is first year I have even followed football. So I am ignorant to the politics. I would like your personal opinion on this subject.

Is it because we have always sucked, up until this year?
Or because some of the games we barely won?

I would say that until today's win over the Giants, most of the Falcons' wins were against subpar competition, and they've had several close calls against crappy teams.

The Falcons have gone to the playoffs a couple of times in the last few years and have yet to win a playoff game as well.

Those things add up to very limited national respect.

They'll have to earn it with playoff wins...

So, back in September, when I was making pre-season predictions, I would've NEVER guessed that, heading into the final week of the season, my Vikings would have a chance to make the playoffs.

They actually control their own destiny (they win, they're in) and they'll have to go through our hated rival: Green Bay.

And, if that's not enough, IF Minnesota wins, we'd turn around and face the Packers again the next week in Lambeau in the first round of the playoffs.

This COULD be the greatest 8-day stretch of my football watching life (if they win twice) or it could all go up in smoke Sunday afternoon.

We play those dreadfulNewYorkGiants on Sunday. I have no idea who our QB will be given Nick broke his hand in the game against the "skins last Sunday. It is my sincere hope that we kick ass & spoil their chances at being in the playoffs. Please Please Please.

I heard Vick is starting.

He's using the game as a tryout as he expects the Eagles to cut him after the season.

I am groveling at the feet of the NFL gods. I would do anything, ANYTHING to beat those fuckin' Giants tomorrow. If we can knock them out of the playoffs it will have made this entire crappy season worthwhile.

I don't like them either. I'm rooting for Adrian today, he deserves to win.
