Duchess from what I've been able to gather so far a lot of the boys were orphans or run aways , so the school just buried them in unmarked graves.The boys that had family who were murdered were buried and the explanation given was pneumonia or other natural causes etc.

A man named Roger Dean Kiser, who was there between the ages if 12 and 15 wrote a book about it called The White House Boys:An American Tragedy.The White House Boys us a group he formed along with other former Dozier classmates.The group pushed to have the bodies exhumed and have the deaths investigated.

And it almost brought me to tears because through the years, we have been called nothing but a bunch of liars, a bunch of former juvenile delinquents who were after nothing but money, to put money in our pocket or to sell books. We were called by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement nothing but a bunch of old soldiers who couldn't get their war stories straight.

So that's what meant a lot to me. That was the vindication I got.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A man fired from an Oklahoma food processing plant beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by a company official, police said Friday.

Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said police are waiting until Alton Nolen, 30, is conscious to arrest him in Thursday's attack and have asked the FBI to help investigate after co-workers at Vaughan Foods in the south Oklahoma City suburb told authorities that he recently started trying to convert several employees to Islam.

Nolen allegedly stabbed Colleen Hufford, 54, severing her head, Lewis said.

"Yes, she was beheaded," Lewis told The Associated Press before a Friday news conference.

Lewis said Nolen then allegedly stabbed Traci Johnson, 43, a number of times before Mark Vaughan, a reserve sheriff's deputy and the company's chief operating officer, shot him.

Maybe not linked to ISIS, but I'm thinking he was part of radical Islam (or thought he was)? Beheading someone is a making a major statement, there are very few killers who behead their victims. Since it seems that Nolen had no previous interactions with the women he attacked, he was making a statement about something.

Beheading a person takes more time than cutting their throat or stabbing them repeatedly. I looked for data on beheading as method of murder in the US, but couldn't find any stats. However, as a crime junkie I know that I can recall only a double handful of cases where the victim was beheaded. (Even OJ didn't quite behead Nicole and he was truly pissed at her.)

It could be.Though this guy was converting to Islam not trying to be a part of ISIS.I think if it had anything to.do with ISIS he would of made it known as they want everyone to know that their actions are linked to their organization, which is why they're videotaping their beheadings.

It could've also been an act of violence influenced by all of the media coverage on ISIS.

But I guess we won't know until they investigate further.

Suspect Alton Nolen.

As posted upthread, Nolen killed Hufford and attacked another woman at the Vaughan Food Processing center in Moore, Oklahoma just after he was fired. It's a good thing the company CEO had a gun and was able to stop Nolen before he killed others.

Nolen is conscious and has been questioned in the hospital by investigators.

Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said that Nolen will be charged today with first-degree murder and assault and battery with a deadly weapon and that he may also face federal charges.

Nolen's family is standing by him.

Nothing but the death penalty as an outcome is acceptable in this case.

A clear message needs to be sent.

Well, Oklahoma does have the death penalty, MS.

And, if Nolen is prosecuted in federal court, he'd also be eligible for it there since he committed the murder in the commission of another felony (the assault and battery) -- assuming he's not found mentally incompetent.

Will be interesting to see which court ends up trying him, what charges might be added, and how the family of Colleen Hufford feel about pursuing the death penalty.

The FBI is also investigating -- Nolen was using Arabic phrases during the attack and had a bunch of Islamic rhetoric posted on his Facebook. I take it the FBI is involved to determine whether any terrorism-related charges will be filed.

Unfortunately now for moderate Muslims, it'll be time to ramp up the profiling again, particularly in the work place and public locations (malls, libraries, etc.)

I was surprised and frustrated when that freak David Renz was able to rape a little girl and kill her mother even though he was a sex offender required to wear a GPS tracker. The investigation uncovered that his tracker had given off an alert many many times, but not for long enough for the monitoring company to alert New York police. Strange murder/suicide case making headlines in Australia


^Indonesian dancer Mayang Prasetyo was reportedly murdered, dismembered and cooked by her Australian chef boyfriend Marcus Volke.

"I smelled something a few days ago, but we've had sewerage problems through the building over the past few weeks, which building managers have been trying to solve," Courtney Thorensen-Reichart, a tenant of the complex, told Brisbane Times. "It smelled like off dog food, so I just thought someone had either been feeding their animal or the dog had made a mess."

On Saturday night, police in Ballarat, Australia responded to a call about a smell of rotting meat in the complex. They found Volke cooking some of Prasetyo's body parts in chemicals on the stove and other of her remains in trash bags. He fled and stabbed himself to death in an industrial bin.

Volke's mother told reporters that there was no indication there was anything wrong with her son. She had not yet met his girlfriend.

Volke met Prasetyo -- a transgender cabaret dancer -- while working as a chef on an international cruise ship.A motive for the killing wasn't immediately clear. Neighbors said the couple was completely normal, and Volke's Facebook page revealed that he was critical of violence against women and animals.
