+1 One of the hallmarks of "The Museum Of Misinterpereted Lyrics"
Sex Pistols, "My Way" from 1979. My favorite live version of the classic song.

First off, geez yall are old!
Beside the typical glam rock of Motley Crue, Van Halen (not Hager), Def Leppard (saw them when the drummer had 2 arms), Ratt and Bon Jovi, my favorite band was
And I was so totally Country when Country wasn't cool (and wasn't ruined by record producers.....)

Hey now! Not as old as some of the music I like. But, old enough to have seen the Scorpions live back in the 80s. Bon Jovi was the opening band, they'd just released "Runaway" and hadn't really made a mark yet.
My favorite Scorpions song:

Holy chit! I saw them the first time during that tour! I remember JBJ (who I could really care less for but hot back in the day) had on a long purple jacket......
I also Bon Jovi open up for Ratt
.
And saw Def Leppard open up for Billy Squire (when the drummer had 2 arms
)
George and Elvis, nice Ma. Hadn't seen it before.
Elvis Costello
Love his lyrics, composition and voice. Top 10 for me.

RIP Layne! Hope you finally found the peace you so desired. You are in my top 3 voices of the 90s!
Another classic! Too bad I missed the 90s boot scooting and booging (although I wouldn't change a thing about my honky tonk days
!)

I'd almost forgotten that MTV used to be all about music. There definitely were some really good Unplugged sessions.
