Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
Does anyone know how these bill boards work? Are they paid for
by donations or by the crimestoppers group? How long would it
take to get one of these, with photos, activated?

At one point Maytee said the reward was up to 30K. Wondering if
they are allowed to use the amount over 16K for undercover detectives
and advertising?

Will they now be applying that term to beatings or murders of spouses or significant others suspected of infidelity?

Or of not having dinner ready?

Lady Cop, am I wrong to think of this as a highly unprofessional remark coming from a police officer?

That was a very loaded remark (for the listener). What does it mean? Does he mean they ran with the wrong people and that could get someone killed? Does he mean they ripped a major drug dealer off and got killed for it? Vague and, essentially, meaningless without clarification.

Digital billboards can be activated instantaneously & are used almost {but not quite} exclusively by law enforcement.

Edited to add ~ Typically law enforcement has free use of them.

Of course, herion in widely popular in the area as well, mainly because it is cheap. Most of the kids who start out sneaking their parents percs or oxys end up doing heroin when the script runs out. They can't afford to buy pills on the street so they move on to H and will steal from everyone to pay for their habit.

One of our friends was on oxy prior to an operation - BIG DOSES of it.
I mean like the amount bone cancer patients take. This went on for
eight months. Then the operation. The first oxy after the op. this person
got deathly ill and had to have meds to calm down the vomiting. Now
how can someone be on drugs this long and go off in three days? Not
being drug savvy, we have wondered this as well as what the kids'
'high' is like as this person said that the body just felt laggy and sad
on oxy. .

If someone had said that about my family member, right or wrong,
I would be pissed. It is just so f-ing crass. Imagine living with that
every time you walked into church or work. There are so many
other ways 'something' could have been said. But then in the
paper today in Canada a judge let a guy off for rape because the
girl was provocatively dressed. Weird world.

You know the guy and his girlfriend where Johnny watched the Prowbowl and left from there to pick up Lisa for the last time? Well, VD just became friends with AG, well, well I find that very, very interesting!

(03-04-2011, 12:26 PM)EastCoastKat Wrote: And 2 weeks before the murders VD became friends with BC.

Looks like he became friends with TW in Nov. 2010.

His house was the last stop for Johnny before picking Lisa up from work....

VD's girlfriend became friends with AG 2wks after the murder, and at the same time she drops her original FB page and opens another one, where she doesn't add TW or AG to her new friend list or any of the southside boys or their girls, which were on her old FB page friends list.

She became friends with TW in Dec. 2010.

She became friends with Paperchasin in Oct. 2010
(she keeps Paperchasin?? adds him on new FB friends list)

And from what I can figure out VD girlfriend was never FB friends with Lisa.

For some reason she wanted to distance herself from that page? She doesn't seem like the rest of this group, she's a high school kid really and hasn't even graduated yet and she talks about California for College and getting out of Toledo, I hope she does.

I hope LE has questioned her, seeing as she was with Johnny right before he picked up Lisa from work (she never mentions being questioned) she might know what he was up to that night, she is not hard like the rest of this group and what she knows, if anything, she would be easy to crack.... I still say look at these old friends of Johnny's these neighborhood thugs and you'll find out a lot.....maybe even the who and why of it....

I think Paperchasin (she took him to her new FB page) told her to distance herself from that page, because he deleted photos like mad...you know the photo of him, AG and DC with the money and gun...yeah Papaerchasin got rid of that photo PRONTO ..JMHO

Definately the last people or group to see Johnny would render up some information - or who possibly was jealous or held a grudge!
Whales of information from ECK thanks!

Contrary to popular belief, the method of execution to me was done by perps on a much larger scale than TW and crew...they're preferred method has been to take the "easy" way out and use guns. I view this as a professional hit and spoke to a totally different audience than those that have been mentioned here...just my personal belief, unfortunately.

Again I agree with you, but the is no reason to get pessimistic. Info is out there and LE just needs to tease it from its hiding place. I think this double homicide is a small part of a bigger picture too.

Nothing gets by EastCoastKat! VD erased a statement or two between the end of January and February 8th - yacking about being hidden out and having no phone for a few days to someone. I think he had a temporary parting with his girlfriend but, its all patched up now and they are back together. I think whoever's behind this awful deed is saying nothing on facebook but, watching and reading. Very interesting find ECK thanks!

Yep, thanks for reminding me that was really weird!!

They can delete comments from OUR view but that won't help them when the subpoenas allow LE to scour through everything ever written on FB, MS and in E-MAIL - deleted or not.

I was looking at the photographs of Lisa & her girlfriends, there is a striking difference between the look of all those young women compared to TW and her friends. The class difference is glaringly obvious.

That was just an observation & adds nothing to your discussion, carry on.

You're so right and it's what got me ranting about about the larger social implications of gang culture and it's insidious creep into the broader culture.

I agree Methusala, It may just be stated to calm the fears of the public and saying "you're safe". They were into stuff that brought this upon themselves, so everyone else has nothing to worry about.

No you are not wrong and residing states away, I am insulted by even an inference that someone instigated their own death, which is what the officer is saying. This is why, if this police department is responsible to a town council, this officer should be asked to explain what he meant and face being separated from his position with this police department. Why? His comment raises a number of concerns. How can the public rely on this officer (and by extension this department) to go about what is their sworn duty of solving this double homicide in a professional and unbiased manner? I am thinking in order to solve a crime and catch the true perps, officers must have critical thinking skills that are unbounded by their own prejudices and beliefs. Otherwise, innocent individuals are at serious risk of getting ensnared in law enforcement's net while guilty perps are at serious odds of never being caught. It has happened before.

The families of the victims should be insulted by this officer's comment and as taxpayers whose taxes pay the salaries of law enforcement, the families should demand better than this as a service from this county/township.

Reading the instigated remark last night caused my heart to sink because I knew then and there law enforcement in this area (local at least) is in over their heads. They are, unfortunately, like LE officers in other areas who are and remain generally uneducated, unsupportive of families suffering immense grief and too bound by their own twisted opinion of themselves and the jobs they do or do not do--to be able to reach a quick resolution to a terrible crime. After all, a killer or killer(s) still walk free somewhere in this great country and where is the evidence, and who is capable among LE, to say that these perps would NOT kill again given half a chance? Oh and did I fail to mention that local LE there manages to do all this while feeding from the public trough off the misfortune of others through tax receipts that support them? They are well paid and they are well taken care of through insurance and retirement plans not offered to most of those in any other type of job/public service.

Not to sound like a broken record, since I have mentioned this many times here, but the newest opiate of choice in Toledo is fentanyl. These are the pain patches typically prescribed for cancer patients (gel inside, you put the patch on and it provides relief for up to 3 days). Anyway - the addicts here open the patches up and eat that shit. It is also sold cut and sold as a powder form or a rock (looks a lot like crack) that can be smoked. Costs about $50 a hit. Comes down from the Dirty.

I know someone who had a fentanyl patch prescription (for a ruptured disc) and she licked out the remains at the end of the three days. That is a powerful drug (also has lawsuits regarding it because so many have died from it).

Nice AV. A bitchen' rock star from Mars, lol.
