There's no test to see if you need an abortion FFS. It's a pregnancy test.

Many employers are forced to pay maternity leave, why isn't that covered by insurance?

I always thought women would know if they were pregnant or at least suspect they might be in about a month?

Has something changed that I should know about?

Some idiots don't notice a missed period or two and sometimes you can still have some bleeding while pregnant.

Since the Family Leave thingie became law, your first statement has no merit.

All men should be forced to wear this, with their partners contolling the key.

Tell that to my Grandmother.

The only reason for a pregnancy test is to decide if you want to get an abortion or not or if you need to go fill out child support papers.

otherwise if you're pregnant eventually there will be no question about it,Right?

Prenatal? so sometime after conception and before birth a woman should be checked and get some care if they need it.

I have no problem with that, and factually actually what I said did not even touch on that issue.

I said a woman at some point between screwing and her next 2 periods should know if they are pregnant, and if you take a look back missy, you will see that the posts were about pregnancy tests and if a woman could tell if she was pregnant.

Re-read the thread taking everyone's points into account.

I understood Tammy to indicate that she thought she was pregnant (either false positive or assumption) and went to take a test to see if she was a viable candidate for the abortion pill. If not, a surgical abortion would be needed. A little unclear; but there was no mention of a pregnancy test. Her case brings up relevant issues.

Still feel that cutting PP state tax funding for birth control, testing, planning and education just to make an anti-abortion statement with PP as the target is ridiculous and short-sighted. Pure political bullshit.

As for whether tax dollars should pay for abortion-related services even in cases not related to medical emergency, rape and incest; it's less palatable to me. But, I'd still rather have my tax dollars spent up-front on abortion rather than subsidizing unwanted children (or those whose parents don't have the means to support them) for years and years. Right now, that's not an option that's even on the table; abortions cannot be funded by tax dollars by law.

CN indicated that all such services are covered under England's universal health care service. If the US ever moves to a universal system, abortion-related services will no doubt continue to be a sticking point, but I certainly hope that equal access to birth control and education for everyone will be a no-brainer, regardless of the supplier.

Governor Brewer is still a short-sighted political dipshit for denying women of Arizona access to birth control and education services through PP just to further a political agenda.

I contend that Roe v Wade was never intended to become a birth control method, the law was enacted to ensure that if and when an abortion was Medically needed no state law or spouse could impede or prevent a woman from seeking and receiving that Medical treatment.

The My body my decision is a perversion of that law.

I have no problem with medically necessary abortion or for incest or rape, no woman should have to bear the fruit of a crime in her body or in her life.

So what about the responsible woman who knows she can't afford children or simply doesn't want any & her birth control fails her and she's pregnant & wants to terminate it. What is your stance on that?

That's birth control and since we already have mechanisms in place to assist her to raise her child abortion should be off the table, there is also adoption, there are people who can't have children that will adopt babies that will not adopt older children with baggage.

Those are viable options for healthy women who accidentally get pregnant, for drug addicts and alcoholics genetically fucked up women the fetus should be tested for abnormalities and abortion in case of deformity or handicap should be considered as a sound medically advisable procedure.

Why should a woman have to endure a pregnancy that she has taken responsible steps to avoid? I want to know why.

Not everyone wants children & I have no problem with them terminating a pregnancy that they took steps to avoid in the first place.
