It just seems extravagant. However, I went and looked at the Highlander a little while ago and there were several things I didn't like about it (the interior design mostly).

Duchess, I just did an online side-by-side comparison of the MDX to the comparable BMW and I was amazed at some of the things the BMW made optional or didn't offer at all. From what I saw, it doesn't even have a universal garage door opener! The list was lengthy. I had heard that Acura gives you a lot of bang for the buck; that seems to be true.

I'm going to go look at the newer Acuras this weekend but I think that's what I'm going to end up getting.

Well you should just get it, remember the clock is ticking down to Dec. 21, 2012 on the Mayan calendar. hah

In May I financed $27K for a 2012 Ford Taurus and my payment is $410 for 72 months. However I pay at least $500 a month and it should be paid off in 4 yrs.

A car payment should include, insurance and registration. The professor just got a 2012 toyota last month and paid 12 right away. I think its a camry. With insurance and registration its about 180.00 a month.

I can't believe how much shit I've gotten for buying a Jap car. Toyotas are the most american made car, and my car was made in Tennessee by american workers...so why should anyone give a fuck?

I get that too because I always buy Honda's. But they have been the best cars. Mine was made in Ohio. I can see getting shit from my brother in law because he works for Chrysler. But everyone else can kiss my ass.

I just got a new car, a 2012 Journey, had to get the third row seating for the dog and I am paying $241 bi weekly. I still owed about $8000 on my Mazda 3 GT so about an extra $4000 got rolled into the price.

That is insane User! Are you putting anything down? I guess if you can afford it, it's no big deal. But a car payment like that would give me heart palpatations. It's SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS . Does anyone else think this is crazy? At least you got a good interest rate.

If my car payment was $700.00 I wouldn't have much money to piss away.

I feel so much better about what I pay after reading what some of you do.

My husband doesn't want to put anything down. At 0.9%, it's basically "free" money. He'd rather keep the cash and invest it and earn whatever he can earn on it; maybe 3, 4, 8% or more depending. It makes sense but it still makes my stomach clench.

At that interest rate it really is pretty much free financing.

You two are probably the reason I got it. I was checking them out before, but after you and LC posted pics...I was a goner hah

Love the looks of this car. I bought the poor man's model though. It has everything I need but my next one will be loaded with everything but the kitchen sink...unless I decide to get the Maxima, then it will probably be the poor mans model of that one.

Thought I was going to have to slap the shit outta my son though, when he told me I bought a "GRANDMA" car. I let it slide since I am a grandma, and I have precious cargo to haul around sometimes.

Take that back right now!

Now that I have the red I like the silver better.

Okay...you can feel free to come over and slap the shit outta my son too...hah

Do you have an actual RED one, or is it the Tuscan Sun color? That's what mine is...it looks like dark red wine. I didn't get a brand new one, it's a 2011.

My wife and I have 2 cars, a 2003 Escalade that we own outright (68Kmiles) and an '04 Accord with 97K miles. I have a $161/mo payment on that one with 18 mos left.
