I've never thought about it even once in my life till now...Im guessing it won't ever bother me, and I'll probably never think of it again, lol.

I never thought about it either until moments before I started this thread. hah

Now that I am thinking about it I'd like to know why. I'd also like to know why I've never see it discussed. Surely we have accomplished women who are deserving of it.

Not paper money. There are many women on paper money though, just not in the US.

All the paper money is presidents, dead ones.
Maybe in 50 more years when we have had a couple outstanding female presidents they will re-visite the issue and $25 bill with this so far fictitious person.
Damn sure ain't happening this time around

Not Benjamin Franklin.

Or Alexander Hamilton.

I don't find it surprising given how long ago paper currencies were introduced (generated). If we came out with some new denominations, I imagine there would either be a woman or a black guy on there. It would be un-p.c. if there weren't. Smiley_emoticons_slash

hah

That's a really good and cost effective idea to promote more gender equality -- no photo swap needed for new bill productioin; just a name change campaign.

This new bill is being floated for 2020, btw.

In all seriousness, name three American women candidates that we could nominate.

These would be mine:

1. Harriet Tubman
2. Martha Ross
3. Jackie Joyner

1. sally

2. Billie Jean King

3. Madeline Ohare Murray (wouldn't need to swap out George Washington's photo, but would need to cross out "In God We Trust" for bills already in circulation)

I could agree to Sally if she's wearing a wife-beater, cut offs, holding a Pabst Blue Ribbon and has a cig in her mouth.

Amy Klobuchar is a Senator here in MN. She's a Democrat, but most Republicans I know like her.

I'd like to see her get on a Presidential ticket at some point in her career.

User beat me to it, but both Franklin and Hamilton played huge roles in the foundation of the country so they deserved inclusion. Sacajawea also was on the dollar coin, and prior to FDR Lady Liberty was on a lot of coins. Does she count?

Reaching back, Betsy Ross. Eleanor Roosevelt. Susan B is already on a coin. Again, I wouldn't advocate for changing currency but if we added denominations the options are endless. MLK, Jr.

Lily Tomlin would look cool on a 10.00 but she needs her "operator" do on.

Is Florence a US citizen? I thought she was British.

Oprah definitely should be a front runner. She is an amazing awesome person. She is a good person, and much nicer to people than I would be. She handles the attention and focus on her constantly with grace and elegance. Whereas someone like me would get sick of it and tell everyone to bugger off......loudly and when ET was there.
