Some people aren't down with the sexualization of children.
That's some archaic thinking you've got going on there, mister. There is no sexualization going on during story time. Kids don't think like that, they are with their parents listening to a story being read to them. Who do you think traumatizes them, a funny person they probably think is in costume, or the angry white men showing up armed to the teeth who think they know what's best for a strangers kids.
Why is there a need for drag queens to tell little kids stories? Is there a stripper story time too?
How about whores and drug addicts?
Meth heads need love, too.

I don't know, Sal, you'd have to ask a parent who takes their kid/s to a story time.

Why are you asking me, because I defend the parents & those in drag?
You're a closed minded individual, rothschild. You're someone who thinks your way is the only right way. I don't care a wit about parents taking THEIR children to a drag story time, why would I? It's their right. The story teller could be dressed as Little Bo-Peep and according to your logic the kid will be scarred for life.

This is from the irreverent 70's movie, "The Groove Tube".
Prophesy or predictive programming? You be the judge.
As an aside . . . Little Bo-Peep sporting dick and balls would have terrified me as a kid.

Forget drag shows. I was indoctrinated into crossdressing by Ricky Schroeder on Silver Spoons. Season 1 Episode 14 "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World".

Drag Queens are performers. Strippers are performers. Both ARE adult entertainment.
I have neither read nor have I heard, one . . . just one. . . . reasonable explanation to justify this obsessive desire to expose children to Drag Shows.
So why Drag Queens? Yeah, yeah . . . they're people, too. I get it.
So are the homeless. So are disabled vets. So are police officers. Firearms dealers and minor-attracted people, too. And let's not forget rehabilitated felons . . . or addicts in recovery. C'mon . . . call it "Community Service".
And why the fuck did New York's AG sponsor a Drag Queen reading time, for kids? Is promoting Drag Shows somehow a trendy and overt display to demonstrate "women's empowerment"?
It's creepy. It's flat out creepy. And you know something isn't right . . . when people are attacked or silenced for questioning "Why?"
What the true agenda is, I'm not sure. But I'm certain it's not scholastic.
You want to take kids to see professional male performers dressed as women? Might I suggest getting tickets for the Les Ballet Trockadero. My Mum took me to see them in the late 70's . . . and I try to catch them any time they are in town.
They'll learn music, dance and parody . . . in one simple outing.

The only people I see being attacked are those in drag. Attacked & terrorized.

How many attacks have you witnessed? Any?
Why do people frequently believe that corporate media outlets are less biased than politicians? Because society is socialized to believe "news" equates to objective journalism?

You have me at a disadvantage. I am unaware (call me ignorant) of any Drag Queen being physically assaulted by . . . . what is the polite term . . . "protestors".
I am aware of at least two arrests, for assault, perpetrated by persons AGAINST the protestors. And at least one Queen, who was reading to kids, being a convicted sex offender.
Assuredly, we are all aware of the the constant media and talking-head input, labeling anyone voicing their opposition to these events as being white, racist, anti-everything, uber-Christian, uneducated, and . . . let's be real . . . card carrying MAGA members, election deniers and threats to OUR democracy. Exclusion of those, who voice opposition, against the self-proclaimed "Enlightened and Inclusive" thinkers. Selective.
However, I am far more aware of attacks, threats, shunning and terror, against persons (at public events), who do not embrace a philosophy in step with global and progressive ideology.
The incident at Stanford Law School, just last week, illustrates my point. At a law school . . . that should cause anyone concern.
Again, Drag is a profession . . . Transvestitism is a lifestyle choice.
Call it "Tranny Nanny's Reading Hour" and folks just might get on board, as a method of teaching inclusiveness to children.
Or allow male and female strippers to read to kids, while wearing their stage costumes. The whole Positive Body Image thing, right?
Yeah . . . Let's explore, with the kiddies, the true story of Dick and Jane . . . with strippers . . . or sex workers.
"See Dick . . . See Jane . . . See (wet) Spot."

I'm not being obtuse.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your position is that parents are the best arbiters to determine what is appropriate (and inappropriate) for their children . . . and it's no one's business concerning the choices they make, regarding their children.
You used Drag Shows as an example.
And the discussion then shifted to why this sudden need for Drag Queens, as a medium, to entertain (educate) kids.
Did I miss your point?
If so, it was unintentional.

That sounds like something a religous zealot would say to a person who doesn't "get it".
Believing that media reports are sacrosanct is similar to believing that the Bible is the literal word of God: in both instances, second-hand information is taken to be inviolable, in spite of the fact that it is inherently subjective.

Wtf Duchess? Drag queens are adult entertainers and drag shows are adult entertainment. It's not for children, what are you not understanding? Their venues aren't allowed in public because they are sexually explicit. It seems like maybe you're associating drag queens with transgenders, in that case the library would just call it "story time" because a transgender is not an adult performer unlike a drag queen, it's just a person, not an obvious adult entertainer.

Sally, what part of they are not your fucking kids don't you understand?
They are reading a story to little kids, they aren't being entertained by a drag show. There is nothing sexual about story time.
How would you like people coming to your home and telling you it's an unfit environment? There's drinking & pot smoking on a daily basis. Do you want strangers commenting on the language y'all use? There is a fuck ton of do gooders who would have a problem with how your kids were raised.
