Here's Matt...dead. He has 3 gunshots to the top of his head. How does one manage that kind of shot given it was said he was shot after failing to comply with orders to stop & put his hands up?
Also, when there is a massive manhunt going down how do you not look in tree stands in a place laden with hunting camps?
Nice pic. I like the chunk of gray matter on his left shoulder. It looks like he's on a steep embankment so maybe they had sharp shooters at the top of the hill?

That makes sense. I was just curious.
CNN showed that picture last night without it being obscured which really surprised me.

So David Sweat is telling authorities that Joyce Mitchell hatched the plan for the escapees to kill her husband.
Joyce swears it was Matt and Sweat who wanted to kill her husband Lyle and that's why she chickened out of driving the pair to Mexico.
I actually believe Sweat over Joyce Mitchell.
Meanwhile, over at Clinton Correctional, the escape has prompted prison officials to beef up security.
-- Every cell is being inspected once a week, with supervision from a senior security staff member.
-- The number of cells searched daily and randomly for contraband has tripled, with each cell being searched at least once every two months.
-- All tunnels are being inspected monthly instead of biannually.
-- The so-called "honor block," where the escaped prisoners had been housed, has been eliminated pending further review, according to the department.

El Chapo Escapes
The powerful drug lord known as Mexico's Osama bin Laden has escaped from a maximum security jail - fleeing through an elaborate network of tunnels underneath his cell.
^ Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, head of the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, is on the run from Altiplano jail, 50 miles outside of Mexico City.
Officials said his audacious escape saw him flee through the mile-long tunnel, which led to a building under construction next to the prison.
A huge search operation is underway to find the notorious drugs baron, with flights from nearby Toluca Airport cancelled as police desperately try to hunt him down.
El Chapo is bad 'effin news. His cartel has been responsible for an estimated 100,000 murders. He's worth over $1 billion USD. And, before his capture last year, he was ranked one of the world's 50 most powerful people by Forbes and had a $15,000,000 USD bounty on his head.
This is the second time El Chapo has escaped prison. In 2001, prison guards helped him bust out in a laundry basket. He eluded authorities for 13 years, before being recaptured while on vacation with his family early last year (recapture details covered here: http://mockforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4080&page=5 ).

El Chapo Guzman escaped through a shower shaft, made his way through a ventilated and lit tunnel, and rode to freedom on a motorbike which had been stashed in the tunnel.
The capture of the drug lord had been the crowning achievement of President Enrique Pena Nieto’s government in its war against drug cartels early last year, a beacon of success amid domestic woes. That makes the bold escape by El Chapo from a maximum security prison all the more devastating and embarrassment.
A widespread manhunt that included highway checkpoints, stepped up border security and closure of an international airport failed to turn up any trace of Guzman by Monday, more than 24 hours after he got away.
Guzman makes Matt and Sweat look like choir boys. I hope the bastard is caught again soon, but seriously doubt that he will be.

Hes been on the run for over 24 hours now. El Chappo has connections all over the world. I'm betting they won't catch him anytime soon if at all.

Joyce Mitchell Pleads Guilty
The written confession of Joyce Mitchell ^, the woman who helped killers Richard Matt and David Sweat escape from a New York prison in June, tells a tale of sex and subterfuge.
The 51-year-old former prison supervisor said Matt "made [her] feel special."
In April of this year, they were alone and Mitchell said he "grabbed [her] and kissed [her]....with an open mouth kiss." In May, Mitchell described more physical contact. Then that same month, Matt asked for something unusual: "two hacksaw blades," she wrote.
She later discovered "inmate Matt and inmate Sweat had cut a hole in the wall and were going down into the pipes." Mitchell said she kept their secret for weeks, explaining "Matt told me they were getting out and we were all going to be together."
Mitchell denied she ever had a "physical relationship" with Sweat, although she admitted to taking some "naked photos" of herself for Matt to give to Sweat.
Mitchell also revealed in her confession Matt had given her "two pills to drug [her] husband Lyle" so she could sneak out of the house and pick them up outside the prison. But it didn't happen. Mitchell said she suffered a panic attack and went to the hospital instead.
Yesterday, Mitchell cried as she entered a guilty plea to one felony and one misdemeanor charge just weeks after admitting to investigators she helped Sweat and Matt with their escape. "She got in over her head into something she never should have started but she did," Mitchell's attorney Stephen Johnston said.
Mitchell's husband Lyle sat behind her in court. "He's upset, there's no question about it, but he's clearly been sticking behind his wife does not believe the allegations of a conspiracy for murder," Johnston said.
Mitchell is expected to be sentenced from 2 1⁄3 to 7 years in prison. District Attorney Andrew Wylie said on Tuesday, had Mitchell not agreed to plead guilty, she may have faced more charges.

I heard it reported that she gave one of them some head and also that one of them cut a hole in his jumpsuit so she could reach her hand into his pocket and fondle him.
Stupid, STUPID woman. I can't even begin to understand why she needed validation from a couple of worthless convicts for fuckssake.

^ She's a piece of work.
I saw her (Joyce Mitchell) interviewed by Matt Lauer. I didn't believe much of what she was peddling.
She cried a lot and said that she was forced to have oral sexual contact and there was never any consensual sex.
She also claims that what happened to her could happen to any kind and compassionate person working in the prison system.
Her husband is standing by her and waiting for her to get out of prison so they can carry on with their lives (she was just formally sentenced to 2 1⁄ 3 to 7 years after pleading guilty).
I was glad to see that she was also ordered to pay restitution to the State of New York. It's a drop in the bucket compared to the $23 million USD spent in the search for Matt and Sweat, but $200,000 is probably a lot for Joyce Mitchell to cough up.

Being kind & compassionate DOES NOT mean one doesn't have a brain. Silly bat.

Being kind & compassionate DOES NOT mean one doesn't have a brain. Silly bat. Sooo... Let me get this straight. You're saying that not all kind and compassionate female prison guards give blowies and handies to the convicts they oversee? That's IT! I'm not going to prison now. Thanks for ruining my retirement plans Duchess!

Okie Splits the Pokie
Authorities in Muskogee, Oklahoma are searching for a murder suspect who broke out of jail on Sunday.
He broke a window at the Muskogee County Jail, jumped from the roof and escaped.
^ Paul Newberry, 24, is accused in the July killing of 88-year-old rancher Charley Kirk. He's charged with first-degree murder with deliberate intent, robbery and burglary, among other charges.
Authorities say Newberry was last seen wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeve sweatshirt and gray shorts.

EL CHAPO CAPTURED
The Mexican Navy carried out the operation. The navy is seen as less corruptible than the country's police forces and army and has taken the lead in fighting the cartels.
The navy said in a statement that marines, acting on a tip, stormed into a home in the town of Los Mochis, Mexico before dawn.
They were fired on from inside the building. Five suspects were killed and six others, including El Chapo, were arrested.
El Chapo Guzman is the leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel and a master of underground tunnels. He set off a furious manhunt on July 11 when he casually slipped into a hole in his shower at Altiplano prison near Mexico City and fled through a mile-long tunnel outfitted with a motorbike that led to a residential construction site.

Wow. Good job! I've always thought that they would either never find him or if they did he wouldn't be taken alive.
