I guess I'm not the only one that thinks it's a stupid holiday since none of you assholes bothered to post a "Happy Halloween" thread.

My son is dressing up as a "transvestite" (his words).  Not very p.c., amiright?  I told him he could just say he was dressing up as a girl but he prefers transvestite.  Whatevah.

Well he told me this morning he wants to return the wig. He said the hair hanging in his face bugs the shit out of him. He's going to wear black pants, a black shirt and draw a cat face on himself now (so he says). He and his friends are lazy...they just want the candy. The kid he's going with is worse though. He's going to carry his skateboard and go as a skateboarder .

This is one area where my son is fortunate he looks younger than he is (more like an 11 y/o). His friend has the beginnings of a mustache. I get a little pissy at the older kids that come around my house. I still give them the candy but I sure as hell don't tell them how adorable they look.

Come to think of it, I should. How funny would it be to tell a kid with a mustache that he looks so cute in a voice usually reserved for a baby.

I don't even have to hand out candy this year, but I kinda liked doing that. Some of those kids are really cute.

We had barely any kids the last couple of years in San Francisco.  I missed seeing the little ones, but it was probably best that they were going to the stores and restaurants instead.  The huge Bougainvillea and the narrow steps up to the door weren't very safe.

My sister said I should be prepared for tons of kids this Halloween because they're bused to our neighborhoods.  I hope that's true because I've accumulated a large stockpile of candy sitting in a barrel in the garage since she gave me that tip (and sometimes I really want to open that baby up).

The next town over really got into Halloween this year. The thing that sucked was all of the cool stuff was open when I was working on the weekends. And now I have no energy to give a fuck, I really do like this holiday, but it has changed for me in the last couple of years, so I am just rolling with it.

I was going to dress up en femme for the Halloween party at the Cigar Shop on Saturday, but it looks like it's going to be heavy raining, so fuck that. I guess I'll just wear my Batman mask and tshirt instead.

Yeah I haz no spirit either. Halloween or otherwise. Sad attempt at the "Meet the neighbors" party going on currently in my apartment building. I just stood there awkwardly and quiet as I ate a cider donut and drank a cup of apple cider, signed up for the raffle for the $50 Amazon gift card, and left after about 5 minutes. Didn't help that I was all sweaty from walking home from work. There was only about half a dozen people there anyway. I probably would have left when the photographer got there.

And then I looked up "candy alternatives" Don't give out raisins! 

You could give out little toys instead or granola bars! or bags of dried fruit or little fruit snacks-that stuff seems like it is just candy anyways.

Walmart has a whole section for pet costumes now.
I would love it if there were a parade of animals coming to my door and I was just handing out pet treats and I could go get pet treats, but I hate the dumb costumes!

I get this snack food from spain, it is small cornuts, mini fritos, raisins and peanuts. I even put it on my salads...
