I just edited my post if you didn't see it.
Lynch is a genius and I couldn't tell you what ones are my favorites. I bought the Lime Green Set instead (see link) for obvious reasons - I like them all. Even his crappy ones.
I do want to watch Mulholland Drive again. I keep forgetting to rent it but that was a weird twisted mindfuck of a film.
I'll be adding more and more until I collect all his films. They are all good to watch when nothing else is on.

Mulholland drive is one of my favourites as well, it has so much weirdness going on, on so many different levels it is definitely one of his most unsettling films. Seeing Mulholland drive is one of the reasons why I became such a big fan of Naomi Watts, not that I am obsessed with her or anything (I am).
I also love Lost Highway and the Elephant man, the Elephant man always makes me cry I am such a pussy.

Eraserhead is my first Lynch film viewed.
I don't know if you know of our Midnight Movie phase we all went through here (damn I miss that!) but Eraserhead was one of the midnight movie cult films here.
Before the time of the multiplex theaters we had actual one screen theaters and on Friday and Saturday nights the midnight movies played. A different movie in each theater here.
Some had double headers.... For some really weird reason Eraserhead would be played before Caligula (the Bob Guccione Penthouse version - which I also own).
"B" horror movies in another one, Rocky Horror, and then you had the one theater playing all the John Waters flicks.
We made the rounds regularly. Especially the Lynch and Waters stuff.

A while ago I watched a documentary about the Midnight Movie craze in the US in the seventies.
It featured a pay TV channel that I think was based in New York in the 70's that specialised in showing obscure and cult movies.
I can't remember the name of the channel but I know it was the brainchild of one guy (whose name I can't remember either).

That's a good link Liquid.
I QUICKLY skimmed it looking for the "brainchild man" but I can't find it there.
If my memory is correct it started with John Waters films in NY. The first movie in this midnight movie craze was El Topo. You want weird and fucked up, rent El Topo.
I know the show you are talking about OP. It was on regular channels here if you had cable or satellite TV - it was a 'midnight movie' trip down memory lane of sorts, not the actual midnight movies craze - they would just show some B or crap movie at midnight in hopes to get a midnight TV movie craze thing going (IMO). It failed.
There also was a documentary on IFC telling all about the craze in NYCthat started in the '70's.

That only gives a review of El Topo. I saw it loads of times already.
Consulted with others and am now 99% certain it was John Waters that got the whole Midnight Movie craze going here.
