Gia Fuda 18 Years Old Missing WA State
#1
Gia Fuda, from Maple Valley was traveling east on  July 24. Her car was found near the Steven's Pass area. The vehicle's fuel tank was on empty. Her purse was left in the vehicle. Her cell phone pinged at the location of her car, but is no longer on.
She was seen at a coffee shop (Video footage) and local drivers are sharing their stories of seeing her vehicle on the side of the road, and they are sharing their dash cam footage. (Guess several drivers have those in this area).
I have also read that she was seen with 4 guys-or there was herself and 4 guys looking at her car, with her hood up maybe? (I can't remember where I read that)
So the assumption at this point is that she is with these guys, and for some reason an assumption has been made that she is in Eastern WA somewhere.
What has not been answered for me is where was she going? Who was she going to meet? For her to travel from Maple Valley and take the highway she took is about a 2 hour drive. Her brother apparently was the last to see her at home when she was leaving, supposedly she was leaving in a hurry.
I will try to find supporting articles to post.
There are a couple of facebook groups dedicated to her at this point.
She has a TikTok account.

Vehicle: Silver 2008 Toyota Carolla

New video shows Fuda at a coffee shop on Friday just east of Index. She is seen wearing the red sweatshirt that was found in her car. Detectives believe she was wearing a grey T-shirt when she disappeared.
Detectives are keenly interested in any dash cam video that might be available from passersby who drove the route between Skykomish and just west of Stevens Pass between 10 a.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Police in Washington State have released new photos and information about a teen who went missing last week. The new images are from the day she vanished.

I very much hope Gia is safe, but it doesn't seem very likely given that her purse was found in her out-of-gas vehicle and there's no trace of her cell phone.

Hopefully someone will come forward with a witness account or dash cam from the road to help point law enforcement in the right direction.

Oddly, this is not the first tragedy to befall an 18 year old member of the Fuda family.

In April 2004, Gia's 18 year old sister, Kali, was killed after she was hit by an Amtrak passenger train while crossing railroad tracks in Seattle (Gia would have been 2 years old at the time).  https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/seattl...id=2176615

That's great news, Mirah.

I understand Gia was taken to the hospital, but doesn't seem she's in critical condition or anything.  Apparently there were berries in the woods where she was located and clear creek water.  And, she had her phone and a notebook.

LE says they don't know yet if she got lost after running out of gas, or if she went off the radar voluntarily, or what exactly happened.

8 days thats almost forever, she must have had some type of survival smarts. I hope she didn't have to eat Salamanders that would suck.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

I went hiking on Saturday within miles of where she was found. We had debating not going if there were places closed off due to the search-there was also a person pulled out of the river another couple of miles down the road and another hiker missing/found same area.

Crazy stuff! I'm so glad she was found. I cried when I heard the news.
I have seen a lot of people commenting in public posts and confused about what happened, I am too, and we may never know, I'm just glad she was found.
What I imagine is that her car ran out of fuel, her cell phone died (no cell phone coverage most of that area anyway) and or maybe she also got high? WHO KNOWS! Or maybe it was completely legit that she walked down to the river to get some water or look around and got turned around.
Maybe there were guys that stopped to help (as noted in some accounts) and maybe it wierded her out enough that she didn't want to flag anyone else down for help. I don't know.
I just can't imagine it getting dark and being alone out there-and then it getting light and not being able to find your way or get help unless she was already in a state of hunger.
Okay, I am done speculating for now.
