INSURRECTION
(01-25-2022, 10:20 PM)Clang McFly Wrote: Oh. I didn't  know that. But I do know the Shadow Government and Lizard people won't let the COS succeed.
only one group of people in this country has anything to say about the Article V convention - state legislators. The feds, governors, courts, school boards, police nor dog catchers got nothing to do with the process, and when we get to 34, nothing can stop it from happening, not even the lizard people. We will get there; there are 8 states we have passed in one house and 17 states have active resolutions being debated.  Brandon has done more for this project than Trump could ever do.

Congress names the time and place the convention will be held, the wording is preemptory, it says "shall"; they have no choice. State legislations decide how to select their commissioners; they decide who, how many, how they will decide yea or nay and write proposed amendments they wish to offer for debate. The proposed amendments must be on one of these three topics: term limits, fiscal limits or restricting the scope and jurisdiction of federal regulation. Then the state legislations will issue commissions to those select to attend. The commissions will authorize them to act on the states behalf and limit their power to present only what the resolution authorizes. The commissions will also set limits on per diem.

The convention is held. The commissioners will propose, debate and vote on all of the amendments. A simple majority will allow the proposed amendment to pass out of the convention. One vote one state; doesn't matter how commissioners the state has; they get one vote - yea or nay.

The amendments that pass must then be ratified by 38 states in order to adopted.

For those of you who have asked why Pelosi didn't send in the National Guard--the January 6 committee interviewed former Secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy. He played a key role in the deployment of the National Guard. Soon the televised hearings will begin and hopefully all of us will get our questions answered.

not even close, we will pass 20 states in the next few months; right now, the plan in place should get us to 34 in about 2 years. the COS project is gathering momentum rapidly. my state is getting 1.5 to 2k signatures every month. last September we got 4k. polls show 70% of citizens across the political spectrum (Dems, Repubs and Indies) are fed up and have had enough of this tyranny. our message is resonating, and we have been seeing a huge increase in donations. my state will be advertising on commercial radio soon, and I don't mean free 15 second PSA,- paid commercials.

Once you get to the ratification of whatever amendments are adopted, I think it would be very easy to stall it by dropping huge sums of money in key states. I think we'd have to deal with the systemic corruption before something like this is feasible.

I trust the founders, when we get to ratification, this country will be wide awake. The 1st Article V convention will be historic; not to mention the biggest media circus ever. The libs will go apoplectic, but the fact is they are a very small minority, we the people are the vast majority in this country. The pressure from the grassroots will become intense. Any state rep that succumbs to lobbyist's money will be primaried and tossed out of office; it is happening as we speak to reps that are opposing the resolution to call the convention. All over this nation, COSP is replacing the reps resisting. This is a long slow process; COSP is in it for the long haul.

I think you are missing the point of this project; COSP isn't doing this to get to convention.

Our aspirational goals are as follows:
Help people organize and restore representative government as defined in our written Constitution.
Restore a culture of self-governance in America.
Inspire a political and spiritual awakening in America.

Our mission will never end; we are painfully aware, as our founders were, that human nature will creep back into the federal government over time if we fail to educate each successive generation about the principles this great nation was founded upon:
All power emanates from the people.
Individual freedom.
Equal justice.

This project is not about who is in the White House, who controls congress, nor which party’s message resonates the loudest, frankly, we don’t care. Our concern is to hold ALL of the corrupt decision makers accountable until the natural checks and balances that limit government are restored and remain in place.

Remember, the US Constitution, as ratified by the states, created the federal government, enumerated the functions under its control and provided a grant of limited power for the federal government to perform those enumerated functions. The grant of limited power and the check and balance structure contained in US Constitution assured Americans that there would be no abuse of power by the federal government. Without that assurance, the US Constitution would not have been ratified (read the Federalist Papers). As a people. Americans have allowed the federal government to exceed its grant of limited power and to use this newly acquired power to abuse the rights of all Americans. Our last line of defense to stop this abuse is our states.

Every state legislator takes this oath, “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, obey and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of their State or Commonwealth and that I will discharge the duties of my office with fidelity”. By taking this oath to defend the Constitution of United States, they are assuming the duty and obligation to defend us against the abuse of our rights by the federal government and the Framers gave them the tool to defend us. In Article V of the US Constitution, the states were given the power to propose amendments to the Constitution at a convention of the states so that there would be a source of power to stop abuses by the federal government. However, they will not use Article V to defend us unless we demand that they do so.

The folks who forgot that piece of history will be educated by COSP, and trust me, the people I interact with daily are pissed off. I dare their reps to ignore them.
