Cuz it’s a great story, dumb ass. I think he committed suicide. Either that or his family helped him make a BIG escape. I don’t think he’s in the wilderness alive. Either he’s dead or far away with help.

How is it the parents found him lickety-split when the cadaver dogs couldn't? Did LE set it up so the parents could be seen as being "helpful"? Kind of looks that way, because it's an awfully amazing coincidence otherwise, as the parents had previously disclosed that location to LE.

The area they found Brian's remains had been underwater when they did the search.

I get but don’t get the underwater factor. How deep would the water be if it’s only seasonal? And that was supposedly the area that they searched the most thoroughly (with dive teams). It seems like maybe he wasn’t there during the most intense part of the search and then maybe returned and killed himself? Or stretching further he died elsewhere and was put back in that location. But often it’s the simplest explanation: the authorities just didn’t find him (or any of his belongings) because they were underwater. I thought I heard they recovered a journal of some kind. Wonder how that survived the water.
