So there's this obese bear out in Lake Tahoe, they've named him Hank the tank. He hasn't hurt anyone, but he is breaking into homes all over the area and eating food. He's eating all the food he can get his fat, hairy paws on. He's quite clever too and has evaded capture so far. I'm worried about the bear, I'm afraid they are going to kill him because now he is exhibiting the one behavior wildlife officials hate the most, he has lost his fear of people.

Not to mention that being fat isn't healthy either. When I took Mia to the vet the other day she got a bit of a lecture about being too chunky.

I'm surprised there is a fat bear out there. He must of had a huge stash of food or he lived next to a dump, they are usually kinda skinny in early spring.

I just read that 54% of Americans between the ages of 16-74 read below a 6th grade level. Could that possibly be true?

That freaks me out a little, Clangy. I can't help but wonder how the hell that happens.

Every once in a while I write in cursive, most kids 20 and under cannot read it.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Not that this has anything to do with reading, it doesn't -- I once watched a video that parents had made of their 2 teenage boys. The parents gave them an old phone, the kind of phone that most of us grew up with and asked them to dial a particular number in a certain amount of time. They could not figure out how to dial that old phone, they were unsuccessful in the time they were given.
