Current mood has not been serene for several weeks now.
I can't find my peace
I can't find my serenity.
Last year I used to go out on the porch every night and feel the coldness in my bones and somehow that regulated my nervous system. In a way I don't have to do that as much here, but also its harder to do-the porch isn't the same, I step out and the next step is snow, I have to chip away at it as it melts so I don't slip.
Anyway
I need to find a way to transition into spring. I know how everyone loves that word now. I wasn't looking forward to it, but as I experience longer days and birds returning and sunny days I can see how it will be a mood lifter.

omg
I was just about to go outside and I heard a noise-I mean I haven't gotten up yet, but I was going to go look at the stars one more time before going to sleep.
Also now I want to see what animal could be out there. LOL.
(totally staying in tho)

my car passed smog with help from the tech so that stress is gone. we finished the bathroom remodel so the the invasion of privacy and gigantic mess is over plus of course nice shower. we bought a gigantic comfortable bed in seville and it got delivered finally, oh and we put in a huge wardrobe, before we had racks like a department store. little by little so much stuff to do try not to get overwhelmed...

I’m slightly anxious. I dislike flying (despite the stupid statistics). I’ve gotten more comfortable with it over the years but I always get a knot in my stomach before a flight.

I was on a plane and it crashed 4 days later killing the guy I was with.

I was never a good flier, but I understood it was the quickest, easiest way to get from point A to point B. All that changed on 9/11. I even turned down a trip to the Canary Islands because I just couldn't face the anxiety of boarding a flight.

Get a prescription for Xanax. I still think I might die but that shit works wonders for me caring far less about the possibility.
I imagine they’d find my boot and foot intact floating in the Pacific somewhere.

I'm familiar with the benefits of Xanax. A friend gave me a couple when hurricane Sandy was coming and I didn't care a wit. On radar, the entire hurricane covered my little state and it was meaningless to me. It was wonderful.

Years ago I had a full blown panic attack trying to convince my body to get on a flight to Maine where every fiber of my being DIDN’T want to get on the damn plane. I almost didn’t go. Now I only take a tiny amount but it’s enough to get my ass on there and keep me semi sane.
Waiting to board now.

Made me laugh.
Happy trails, kid.
