I'm not trying to dodge anything, I'm unsure what you're asking.
I'm the sap that asked why Asians and Hispanics aren't considered white. They're the same color as me... I really don't know.

You don't understand this question?:
How do you define race and what traits qualify as race-based?

I don't know. I swear, I really don't.I get the whole American/British/German/whatever thing, but people are people.
What do YOU think is race? I mean if someone proudly says "I'm Italian" and then another says "I'm French"!... it's just a matter of miles between the two countries, what difference does it make? It's just geography.

"...cuz the pig cop won't shut the fuck up about it..."
Nothing like letting emotion get in the way of fact.
I've mentioned it twice and you've responded, in kind, each time.
I've always only responded to you after you've engaged me.
I'll continue to make that my practice.

I treat people like individuals, their skin colour, religion, dress sense etc in no way effects my opinion of them as a person. I will either like them or I won't as a person, based on their personality and character, nothing else.
Racial stereotypes are just that stereotypes, i.e - white people have no rhythm (blatantly not true), black people are all criminals (blatantly not true). oriental people are all inscrutable gamblers (blatantly not true), native American indians are all alcoholics (blatantly not true).
When I persons skin colours effects your opinion of them before you have met them or know anything about them, that's racism.

is it a stereotype that 'oriental' is an acceptable term still?

OK, so you don't know what race is. I thought you would have known what race is before accusing people of being racist, but you don't. You seem to have been outraged about people judging others by skin color, so I know you use at least that as a criteria. I can understand that, since that is just a color, but what about the other factors many may be referring to, when they say they are proud to be a racist, or dislike certain things, or many things, about a given race? Here are some definitions of race I found:
a group of persons related by common descent or heredity.
a human population partially isolated reproductively from other populations, whose members share a greater degree of physical and genetic similarity with one another than with other humans.
any people united by common history, language, cultural traits, etc.: the Dutch race.
Using the definitions above, if one can identify a group of people that qualify as a race, while disliking a certain aspects of their culture, is it necessarily or inherently wrong to dislike it? Let's substitute the Dutch race in the example above.
What if I disliked the Sample Race, or had problems with them based upon their race? While there are of course exceptions, generally, due to their culture, let's say that I frown upon their values, practices, and behaviors and my experiences with them all pan out to validate that view.
Do I necessarily deserve to have a negative term attached to me for my personal views? What if what I dislike is based upon their racial traits and it is true?
Sure, we are all individuals, but is it reasonable to find many generalizations true enough about many groups of people? Ranging from Italians that were off the boat and came out of the Great Depression, to Jewish people in Beverly Hills, to young Black people in certain towns by me?

White people being generally worse at dancing than Black might be true as a generalization, though. True enough to identify or notice to many, and their views be valid - again, noting they are generalizing. Sometimes, generalizations are true enough to identify. We don't have to ignore them, or refrain from saying generalized truths because there are exceptions. That's why they are called "generalizations." Just like you identify the behavior of Australian Brown Pelicans and describe them, even though exceptions are easy to find.

Personally, no you don't.
Again, punish other people for poor behavior not for what you define as poor thought.

Oriental is still acceptable.
It differentiates between asians such as indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans etc and Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc.
A person born and bred in Tokyo is not the same race as someone from Delhi.

do you use this definition?
I typically think of race, ethnicity, and nationality as different things.

is this racist?
Frank, I don't know what you're trying to painfully extract from me.
I don't see 'race'. I'm offended when others try to denigrate others based on what they consider 'race.'
I don't know what more you want from this.
