I don't even use the crosswalk, you can't trust them. You have to park across the street from the hotel and cross a four lane street. Every damn time I tried using it, one person will stop and the car behind them will go into the other lane and pass it up, so if you were to walk out you'd get hit. I don't know if they don't notice the big flashing pedestrian crossing light or they just don't give a fuck.

I'd rather just wait for it to be clear and cross myself. 

Smart! NYC is a melting pot of all denominations, where many can’t read or speak english. 

So they don’t know what the rules of the road are. How they got their driver’s license is 
beyond me, IF they even have a license.

There is a big deal about giving immigrants drivers licenses in Massachusetts now. The state tried to sneak it in but people found out. They didn't want a vote on it but now people are getting petitions to allow a vote about it this fall in the ballot box. I really hope it gets struck down. They cannot read English never mind road signs or even pass a test. And getting insurance? That will never happen. I just don't want them coming into my state and wrecking havoc then disappearing.
