Yids, niggers and spics, oh my!

Let’s go and get fry bread
And be like an Indian
Let’s go and get fry bread
Fried in lard, fuck the Jews!

Maybe I should show up next year dressed in my "Princess Running Bare" buckskin halter and mini.

I know several native Americans and they aren't bothered by some of the things that the white man thinks they should be bothered by. The names of football teams for example. I know this because I polled some of them when that shit was in the news. They just don't give a rip and a few of them rolled their eyes when I asked about it.

There are communities here with expensive homes called plantation this or that like Plantation Bay. A bunch of white people said that the names should be changed because it's offensive to black people. They interviewed some black people that lived there for years and they said that the thought has never crossed their mind, but thank you white people for telling us what we should be mad about.

Yup.  Another example of manufacturing and marketing injustices, where there are none.

This kind of thing happens A LOT! There is a fuck ton of white people who have no business speaking for others. I may have been guilty of it, I can't say for sure because I always try to say I'm speaking only for myself, or speaking from MY experience.

It appears it is easier for one race, to tell another race, what they should be "bothered" about.

It gives the illusion of caring . . . or being an ally.

And "NO" . . . it ain't just with "cock-asians", too.

Cowboy's mom is full blood Cherokee. She's pushing 100 and only recently stopped going to powwows. I love her to pieces and at her age she still retains some scary-ness to me. I'm slightly intimidated by her and little kids.  hah

I think it was User who once said Asian men have little dicks.

I remember you mentioning Cowboy's bloodline.  No idea his Mother was FBI.

It is wonderful to know his Mom is still living and able to command a "fearful" respect!

There is much history and knowledge to be learned . . . from all who she is and all she has experienced.

Much wisdom . . . and history . . . from this woman.

Not just Cherokee . . . but wisdom and history with navigating all aspects of life.

I had to look up Indian fry bread because of course the festival doesn't have that either. It's similar to Hungarian fry bread which I only make occasionally because it's indulgent and probably 10,000 calories once you add the toppings. The hungarian version is usually topped with a garlic sour cream sauce and shredded cheese, but I liked the idea of adding taco ingredients that I just saw.

hah  And here I thought fry bread, like salsa, has been adopted everywhere!  It's a huge thing in the Southwest . . . like sopapillas. (Note to Canadian and Eastern visitors . . . they are not the same.)

And the proper ingredients for and the correct preparation of fry bread has caused many an argument, with lasting hard feelings, amongst friends and family.

Navajo Tacos.  Mmmmm!  Datsum good eats!

Piki Bread . . . No, thanks. Pass.

The festival advertised that they have authentic native American food and I thought to myself oh that sounds good even though I'm not exactly sure what authentic Native American food is. What I do know is that it's not corndogs, pretzles, popcorn and Italian sausages which is what they were serving.

They could at least have fucking bison burgers and maze elote.

It's funny you said that, especially since your daughter is writing about the Trail of Tears . . . as one of the tribes was the Choctaw (fucking red-skinned cowards who capitulated to the Government immediately).

Fry bread is not unique.  As you stated, Eastern European countries have similar versions of non-yeast breads.  However, Fry Bread is associated with the Navajos while "participating" in a US government 300 mile forced march, in 1860.  No other tribe had made this type of bread before, as a means for survival.

However, a Choctaw professor, who because she is NDN (that's Native text speak for Indian), got to publish a piece in the NYT (that's Native text speak for lying, liberal-biased newspaper) stating that fry bread was neither cultural nor tradition because "  . . . one can make fry bread during any season with goods purchased from Dollar General.

First, that is provably false and just plain stupid, professor.

Second, who in hell, are you . . . Choctaw cunt . . . to dis on the Dineh?

Now you see why I refer to them as Navajo instead of Indian Tacos . . . it's all about the fry bread.

Fucking Choctaw traitors. You can buy cheap paprika at the Dollar General too, doesn't make chicken paprikash any less of an authentic Hungarian dish.

Since we're talking about racial phenomena I thought this might be a good time to post my favorite skit by Dave Chapelle.
