Hi, I'm crayon and I'll be your cruise director today! Smiley_emoticons_wink. I fucking love cruises and take them regularly out of my home port. I highly recommend cruiseplum.com for finding last minute and hot deals, etc.. it cuts through the crap and organizes everything even drills down to tell you entire price including fees+tips, cost per day, and graphs of the price of the cruise over time. You can easily just see cruises leaving from a specific port. I caught a 6 day mexican cruise earlier this year on a last minute deal that was about $80/day. Anything $100/day and under is a smoking deal.
