THE BUSH DOCTRINE

I certainly hope that trend continues over the next 4 years.
Our country hadn't been overtly attacked for 50 years prior and I give GW full credit for pissing off everyone enough to cause us to get attacked on 911. Truth is, under his presidency, our country was acting like a big arrogant bully pushing all the other kids around on the playground.

Only difference, is after 911, the bully started wearing a cup.
Totally disagree. Bush had only been office 8 months when that happened. Prior to that, we had the hostage crisis in Iran, the embassy bombings in Beiruit, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania , and Nairobi, just to name a few. All linked to al-qadea, or Hezbollah. Shit, the fuckers tried once at the WTC back in 93. These pricks have had a hard on for us way before Bush.

Edit: Dont get me wrong, the Bush administration has defo fucked up, no doubt about it.
'Only' 8 months? That's most of a year. A lot can happen in 8 months.

OBL stated several times that it was US 'support' of Israel that caused the 911 attacks.

Quote:But can you name one attack on the USA, or it's interests, since 9-11?
There have been plenty of attacks, though no major ones on the scale of the 911 incident. Many of the smaller attacks are thought to be linked to terrorist groups, and some have even been claimed by groups such as the Al-Queda, but afaik the links have not been proven.

For sure, the number of attempted terrorist attacks against the US has risen since 911. If Bush had not eliminated some of the security practices already in place (such as the one where he made it easier for Saudi Arabians to get Visas), 911 may never even have happened. That was just sloppy on our country's part.

I'll give Obama a fair shot, for sure...time will tell.
Give the man a break. He was too busy getting blown to blow anyone else.

Good for him, I say.

says who??? obama may do NOTHING and people need to be prepared for that. sure we all hope for positive things to happen, but there is no guarantee at all he wont mess things up even more, or not handle a military situation, or whatever. BUT PLEASE DONT say the OBAMA is a savior or some last hope. he might just be "the next guy"
Can you read?
Of course i can, but most Obama supporters think he is the "savior" and that is ridiculous. I am willing to give him every chance and of course I hope he succeeds, but at this very point he has done nothing.

My biggest fear is that Obama won't have the cojones to pull off the changes this country needs. He's not really radical enough for my liking, but I guess he never would have gotten in if he had been.

Edit: well, that and him getting killed in the first 6 months of his administration by some white-hooded redneck.

If you can read, and comprehend, then your response was useless and you should already know that.

that would be the worst thing for our country as a whole that could ever happen. let's all hope that does not happen

I don't think he's a 'savior'. I hope he is... that would be great. We need one.

Well duh.... he hasn't even taken office yet. What could he have done before he's even inaugurated?

He has given good, important press conferences to instill confidence and show leadership, and he has sent out the signal that we have someone literate and intelligent in the Presidency this time.

I actually think Biden would do a good job as President, but I sure hope it doesn't get put to the test.

I, honestly, don't think Obama is capable of making any big changes that will have to do with the war. I do think he will make some impact on he tax issue, and hopefully will be able to save some jobs.

Wonder who he will pardon...??

I liked Ron Paul, but I'll settle for Obama and Biden over McCain and Fucktard. Some people think Obama is the savior and others think he is the antichrist. I think he's just another asshole with corperate America in his pocket.

He better pardon those border patrol agents that were imprisoned for shooting the scumbag cocaine dealer that was smuggling and shooting at US agents.

Only a newbie fucktard like you could even think that. She is officially a non-threat to ever obtainingpower in the Rupublican Party. Next up,Romney or Pawlenty.

Right... the idiot conservative faction love the hell out of her. It's just a damned good thing SHE wasn't running against Obama. She would have been a shoo-in. Watch and see when she runs in 4 years.

I would like to go door to door selling magic beans to anyone who thinks Bush was a good president, I would make a fucking fortune.

Seriously the Hamburglar couldn't have done a worse job.

His general attitude as president can be summed up thusly..........

::dunno:::Yawn:::blink::

We need to punish the French, ignore the Germans and forgive the Russians - Condoleezza Rice.

She is a non-issue. She won't even be asked to be a VP candidate in 2012. She was nothing more than a mere Geraldine Ferraro. McSame just wanted to steal some Clinton votes - a desparation act by an old and addled man. Expect to see the same basicbig guns in 2012 - Romney, Pawlenty, Huckabee, Thompson, and Guiliani.

I expect you will see a retooled Guilani with a much better strategy then just campaigning in one state (which would have gone down as one of the worst political moves in recent memory if it was not completely forgotten by the real worst political move in all of history - Palin as the VP candidate)
