Has he won anything? Has he read a book on how to play poker, or, has he ever read a book on advanced poker strategy?

Has he ever read a book?

Has any mocker ever done anything remotely connected to putting shorts and a t shirt on, picking up a bat, running, kicking a ball, throwing?,,,,,errr no.

Mockers sat at the back at school, trying not to be seen, not engaging in anything, not even learning, smoking in the bikesheds at break time, or something worse, getting pregnant, even the males, reading comics if they can read at all, failing every exam, and pulling faces at teachers when they face away.

I dated a professional poker player.
It was maddening to me, he would win in a night what I worked for in a month.
He would go at a certain time of night, and then leave to get breakfast but come back when the alcohol had been cut off but everyone was drunk.
Whenever I went with him I told him not to show me his cards because I don't have a good poker face. But he did once, he still won. It was fun while it lasted. Eventually he went to school and got a real job.
He was almost 15 years older than me. People told me to stay away from him because he was a womanizer, but he was so handsome I couldn't help it. But I think I broke him of that, at least temporarily.

I know when to hold them and when to fold them. Every hand is a winner and every hand is a loser, let that sink in Piglet.

He has won several hundreds of dollars. He taught a class in college on how to play poker.

The key to winning at poker isnt about how clever you are at playing your cards, but that plays a role, but knowing how your opponent plays. This invovles observation, all actions talk. In the early stages of a poker game just observe, who does what and when, to get to the half way stage about in the middle is ok, the second half is when the action starts.

You cant win at poker without getting to the end. Anyone who plays a lot of hands is bluffing, anyone who plays few is frightened , getting bad cards or holding fire, in the early hands play a few cheap hands to test players out, they test you too. In the early stages never bet a lot of money, you cant win early. Bad beats are ok, its just life, dont beat yourself up.

Sometimes your luck is out, just quit, you can cut the odds by playing well, but most of it is luck, you can calculate odds in your head during a hand, who your opponent is and what their pattern is.

My ex wife was a bluffer, i knew her game inside out, it was a massacre. Strangers follow patterns too. Thats it briefly, basic poker books are available, i was never aware i made people feel second class, oh well.

My tell was not bluffing and betting too big when I had a good hand or bluffing badly and staying in when I had a bad hand. That's why I don’t play poker anymore. Im out of money in 5 minutes.
