warmer tonight than it was at this time three nights ago. -9F the other night and now sitting at 43F. I wonder if that was the extent this years winter...one week of sub-zero temps. Fuck, we even have bugs flying around outside...

We made a roaring fire the other night - first time in a long time because last winter it was not really cold enough. I am pumped that it looks like I will get to use all this firewood this winter.

I put a gas stove in my bedroom a few years back, it looks like a little wood burner.
My bedroom is pretty big, like 12 by 30, but I still can't even use the stove, if I turn it on I can get the bedroom warm enough to bake a cake. But it looks cool sitting here though.:

I miss having a fireplace or wood stove. My farm house had an antique Franklin stove and the rental before I bought had a regular fireplace.

I love burning aged fruit tree wood in there. It makes nice colors and smells lovely.
