its not cool, when my lab was killed by a neighbor that she pinned against my fence in the middle of the night( he was a nutcase) he poisoned her with meat soaked in antifreeze and then moved two days later i went and and got my first rottie she was a great dog but didn't hunt like my lab who was a natural gun dog.

I don't have horses anymore even though this village that I live in allows them in village limits I just don't have the room anymore for them.

Karma is a bitch and I know for a fact he's getting his and he's going to die a long lingering painful death.
The kicker is that this bitch didn't even like horses. I'm betting they're his.
Dick, screw you. The horses cannot be replaced. Each one was an individual life and each one had it's own personality. You may see them as chattel but they were my "friends". I bonded with each one of them and not one deserved to be sold to slaughter because he's a cocksucker.
I have had animals my entire life, I have had many die of old age and other causes.
I know the feeling that is involved.
each and every one has been replaced by another rescue including my horses.
but hey screw me, I know, I know.
You value the life of humans over animals and I guess that's something I've never been able to grasp. I'm all for the food chain, but I don't think anyone can dictate who's life is more worthy or capable of having a soul. I don't think a pet can simply be replaced anymore than a human loved one.
When some proud son of man returns to earth,
Unknown to glory, but upheld by birth,
The sculptor's art exhausts the pomp of woe
And storied urns record who rest below:
When all is done, upon the tomb is seen,
Not what he was, but what he should have been:
But the poor dog, in life the firmest friend,
The first to welcome, foremost to defend,
Whose honest heart is still his master's own,
Who labours, fights, lives, breathes for him alone,
Unhonour'd falls, unnoticed all his worth--
Denied in heaven the soul he held on earth:
While Man, vain insect! hopes to be forgiven,
And claims himself a sole exclusive Heaven.
Oh Man! thou feeble tenant of an hour,
Debased by slavery, or corrupt by power,
Who knows thee well must quit thee with disgust,
Degraded mass of animated dust!
Thy love is lust, thy friendship all a cheat,
Thy smiles hypocrisy, thy words deceit!
By nature vile, ennobled but by name,
Each kindred brute might bid thee blush for shame.
Ye! who perchance behold this simple urn,
Pass on--it honours none you wish to mourn:
To mark a Friend's remains these stones arise;
I never knew but one,--and here he lies. [i]

don't equate replaced with no feeling of loss and missed companionship.

I saw that and I will NOT forget it.
I can't imagine that you would. Forgetting that sight would be akin to forgetting you have massive cramps and prairie dogging it during a large stretch of highway with no rest area for the next 30 miles.

Well, there are 2 choices here. You can forgive and forget or you can kick their asses every which way you can. I personally vote for the latter.

Does spelling the word as tounge send the sentence and yourself to the edge of the cliff of understanding or just your perception of me? If so please step back so you can get a running start.

Believe me, I had a friend who wanted to. I had to stop it because the blame would easily have been pointed at me. Good thing I found out about it in time. Drunken babbling can be a good thing when your friends slip out their stupid intentions.
He knows some of my friends, he knows he's lucky to be alive today. Like I said, I don't have to do a thing, Karma is getting him back slowly and painfully.

I don't have horses anymore even though this village that I live in allows them in village limits I just don't have the room anymore for them.
My first experience with the cruelty of people was when my brother found our cat crucified on a tree and Fat Evan was boasting he did that. When you're 12 and see that you never forget the cruelty people are capable of. More formal education only cemented my ideas that people in general suck.
All my animals are rescues. Every horse, every dog, cat, small caged pet and the stupid bison and llama I found tied to my fence one morning.
I'm sorry you live in an area where people are total assholes with complete disregard for the lives of your pets but what my ex did to me beside what he did to my animals leaves me in a position that I can never have horses again. I've made good for myself considering the zero he left me and horses just are not going to happen. I've always been able to make the best of my situation and if I never had a dime to my name I'd be better off and happier without him. My living well is enough revenge for me right now.
These are foals, pregnant mares, my stallion and the poinies - all who've been rescued from going to meat to begin with and he goes and sells them directly to AmFram.
Karma will get him as well as your neighbors.
I'm sorry you had to go through shit like that too.

Me too. God, people are sick.
This conversation is making me want to go rescue something. I've got a cat, a dog and two guinea pigs right now though--not sure if I want to add to my little zoo.

I want more but the house is small and the two dogs won't tolerate anything but more cats. I've got 4 right now and that's plenty.
One old dog and one old cat, both 17 are on "death watch" now too. Last year I lost a cat (the one in my avatar) at age 21.
What I want is a French Bulldog. I can't have that either even when the old man goes. The bitch that will be remaining behind is so jealous she'd probaby make trouble. I don't think I'll ever keep two dogs at a time anymore. It's a lot of work to keep them both happy and well adjusted.
