well, the way I would do it, would be to use the edge of a knife to peel it back.
Yeah. "hey Johnny, sit tight. Lisa do you have a pocket knife i can borrow so I can peel the corner of this tape to bound you and your boyfriend?"
LMFAO I was thinking the same. And wouldn't this add to the amount of time the perps took to do this crime? I'm not really asking... that was more of a statement, just to be clear.

GUNS people, they carried guns...obviously the intent of the murder was to make a statement, no to make it look like a robbery gone bad...think about it for half a second.

Hey, I think 3M company salesmen carry tapeguns. Could just be a turf war at 3M as to what saleman had the UPS account.
Of course it would have to be one who was "abused as a child in the kitchen" as per your "PHD degree thinking" has so astutely pointed out previously:

Perhaps the perpetrator had been abused as a child in a kitchen.

GUNS people, this are perps who were on a mission to make a statement and get what was owed to them...of course they're not going to use the gun to kill, too easy to trace and too easily perceived as a 'robbery gone bad'

That's really all we have to go on, now, unless something else is released. If this was a professinal hit, then in my mind, the perps wore gloves.
It is very difficult to use duct tape with gloves on. Jus sayin
Not if you have a tape gun...or something to that effect.
A TAPE GUN???? I gotta leave this site for a while before I get stupider

Let me counter, do you have a better explanation of no DNA, at least that we know of, assuming the results should be in by now...

I don't think LE dropped the ball, at all. If there's no evidence to actually tie this to a specific person, what are they going to do? They said they'd interviewed 100 people. That's a lot of people, & a lot of hours. They can only follow any evidence left at the scene, & IMO, there wasn't much, even though we've heard there was. What's a lot of evidence to a 'regular' person, may not be a lot to LE, & even if there was a lot, unless that evidence can be tied to someone, it's of no use, except for maybe later on down the road.

I'm actually wondering if a note wasn't left, now! (thanks to Shitty & his links posted last night) I have to assume, LE scoured that home from the time they arrived on the scene at 4 am'ish, until late that night, otherwise the house wouldn't have been cleaned the next day (if that's true) Is it possible, LE knew from the get-go, this was 'professional' ?

Let me propose my question to you again in a different manner, IF it's proven no fingerprints/DNA found on duct tape, how would you explain that?? I have no problem accepting another theory, so curious as to what yours would be?

I'll bet at that crime scene, besides what belonged to J&S and Lisa's family, there was hair, fiber, skin cells, fingerprints, blood, and possibly shoe prints. I don't believe these killers were so adept as to leave ZERO TRACE. That's begs the question of why would something like this not yield an arrest or a named person of interest. Beats me! Maybe Lady Cop can answer. I'm gonna take a guess that when resources are stretched, and I'll bet they are, that one of the more important elements in a case getting solved is a detective with determination and passion. Could be that's lacking here. Most humans are mediocre performers. I don't see why that would be any different in LE. Maybe they're waiting for everything to fall into their laps and aren't out hunting people down.

I know you're not talking to me, but even if there were prints on the duct tape, it doesn't mean those prints are in any kind of database.

Let me counter, do you have a better explanation of no DNA, at least that we know of, assuming the results should be in by now... I don't know...Maybe a Gansta version of Twister
OR The Some Like It Hot Theroy Geroge Raft Version:
Police are working on a therory "It was just a lavish dinner party that got out-a-hand when the strippers popped out of a big cake. See "Some Like it Hot" with Tony Curtis. One detective has the file and its called "The George Raft Theory". And when I found Raft's Facebook page I got this.....During the 1950s he worked as a greeter at the Capri Casino in Havana, Cuba, where he was part owner along with Meyer Lansky and Santo Trafficante
This one is kool because it has a Miami/Cuba connection. Rumor has it that George Raft was having an affair with a fortune teller in the casino and he traded his rifle for a "palm reading". She later sent that gun to Lee Harvey Oswald at an address in Dallas supplied by Santo Trafficante. Raft and this fortune teller had an illegitimate child (Maytee) who later came to the USA and needed to be silenced so the JFK assination remains unsolved.
Its ALL on Facebook....You just have to KNOW where to look!!

All cops are human. I'm well aware mistakes can be made, but I agree with you... they probably did collect some of the things you mentioned, but unless the perps prints/DNA are in a database, it's not going to take them anywhere, for now. Unless someone talks, or one of the perps is arrested & DNA taken from them, this will go to a cold case file. It's frustrating to think the perps might be sitting somewhere having a drink, thinking nothing of this
