When a person is really in physical pain they can tolerate FAR more than someone who isn't. What would knock out a recreational user might just barely take the edge off the pain for a medical patient. That's why it's ridiculous for the DEA and do-gooders to harp about legitimate users. Medical users should not have a hard time getting pain drugs because of addicts who use for recreation.

Reading the instigated remark last night caused my heart to sink because I knew then and there law enforcement in this area (local at least) is in over their heads. They are, unfortunately, like LE officers in other areas who are and remain generally uneducated, unsupportive of families suffering immense grief and too bound by their own twisted opinion of themselves and the jobs they do or do not do--to be able to reach a quick resolution to a terrible crime.

Agreed. I have always thought LE is in over there heads and doesn't have a clue what to do next. Local cops are not going to solve this case. I think they were over their heads that night after receiving multiple 911 calls.

County LE is too worried about bringing down the entire organization and IF they have suspects, are probably trying to connect all the dots and become the heroes of the day by arresting an entire drug ring (after all, what's the hurry? These kids asked for this, right?). Why do you think there is so much talk of snitches from TW's crew and that embarrasing 475 Entertainment site? County LE are SUCKERS for snitches here. They are probably still trying to get everyone and their brother under arrest and have no sense of urgency whatsoever when it comes to finding the murderers.

Not to sound like a broken record, since I have mentioned this many times here, but the newest opiate of choice in Toledo is fentanyl. These are the pain patches typically prescribed for cancer patients (gel inside, you put the patch on and it provides relief for up to 3 days). Anyway - the addicts here open the patches up and eat that shit. It is also sold cut and sold as a powder form or a rock (looks a lot like crack) that can be smoked. Costs about $50 a hit. Comes down from the Dirty.

I know someone who had a fentanyl patch prescription (for a ruptured disc) and she licked out the remains at the end of the three days. That is a powerful drug (also has lawsuits regarding it because so many have died from it).

No you are not wrong and residing states away, I am insulted by even an inference that someone instigated their own death, which is what the officer is saying.

I understand your offense to this, I think it was just a bad choice of words that were intended to quell public fear; that these words were not given much prior thought becuase of their intended message. Similar to "Mission Accomplished" or " bring 'em on" publicly uttered by some other noteworthy "idiot".

I am and have always been on the same page as the two of you . I agree there is something she is hiding ... I think she knows who is responsible for these murders but cannot turn them in because she will put herself and her other children at risk .

She doesn't know who is responsible. Look at the obvious--if Maytee knew, she'd be all over it and LE would have an arrest. She would mote the perps in their laps so fast, their doughnut-filled heads would swim. She knows the players on the periphery and has reason to be torn apart inside because she is so close and yet so far away.

Unfortunately, it's typical LE with regard to how they think. Look at how many innocent children have gone missing through the years only to be chalked up as runaways by LE who refused to investigate initially and in some cases, refused to launch a full investigation for years--as leads grew colder and colder.

The only solution is to place LE under civil authority much like the military is and then crack down on their actions and inactions. If one thing history teaches us, no one group can EVER be self governing. We look to LE to govern themselves while LE 'does the right thing' and no group can ever be trusted to govern themselves.

I was looking at the photographs of Lisa & her girlfriends, there is a striking difference between the look of all those young women compared to TW and her friends. The class difference is glaringly obvious.
