I'm not getting this either. No one bought any duct tape, what so ever, anytime around the murders? Not that it really means anything, they could have taken it from their own home. I just find it hard to believe but maybe that's because about a week ago I bought 10 rolls of the shit
The murders took place on a Sunday night, right? The perps weren't from the area, so I think they could have brought the tape from their own home, had some in the car already (from other crimes), or bought it somewhere local to where they lived before they set out on their mission.
No disrespect to the victims, but it sounds like you and Red Green might have something in common, Freshbait. In case you haven't heard of him before, he's a huge fan of duct tape

Lisa's uncle is not the type of person that would go on TV and state that she did not have the legal problems that the sheriff said she did if he wasn't sure. Also, for kids in that area I wouldn't be surprised at all if the criminal mischief was toilet papering a house or something similar.

I'm guessing the type of duct tape used, wasn't sold around the time of the murders ?? Maybe Kitty can go into a bit more detail of what she meant?

Sam's Club sells Duct Tape. Was it black or silver or grey?

Many places sell it.

Thanks for posting that. What that affirms is Police are working diligently and doing whats necessary to conclude this case. The criticism directed at them earlier in this thread has at times been down right caustic and is indefensible and unwarranted.

Could you please clarify - are you saying that the neighbors are not in fear because the people who "would hang out at Lisa's" were not scary?;
or are you saying that the neighbors thought that the people who "would hang out at Lisa's" were scary, and that they are now not in fear because they don't think those people will come around any more now that she is dead?

I know what your saying, I kind of thought the same thing, because he was retiring, I' m thinking some of it is just his own opinion, like the "professional hit" and they have left the town...he probably figured he was out of there, so why not???

I will tell you honestly, since this crime, I normally have all my plastic grocery bags stuffed into a baggy keeper(for lack of a better name) which hangs on a cabinet door in my kitchen. Since this happened, I kept getting a sick/creepy feeling whenever I would grab one out. I thought to myself...I shouldn't keep these out like this!! And then I HID my duct tape! lol Am I the only one who now finds these items unsettling to have in their home??? Or am I just losing it....

I have great sympathy for her....Its the VooDoo rants that are a problem. If she came on Mock I know she would FEEL that sympathy and it may help her. I bet that would rekindle yours too Jane.

We see eye to eye on this, pretty much, Zero!
Well if she is reading this and took an innocent comment (headstone comment) to be something derogatory, than she is just someone who look for the negative in everything and just wants people to think that we are "victimizing" her here, sigh....you are probably right Zero!

Sympathy yes, and yes also on a lot of questions that need to be answered. Like knowing there was a garage key, and knowing that someone set her son up.

Sorry about that. They said the type of people that hung around were pretty shady and that they heard he was in a gang, although I know Maytee refutes that. What they were getting at was they don't keep this type of company, so they don't feel as if they are in danger.

You are absolutely not alone!! Everytime I grab a bag I feel weird or guilty about it. I took some food to the family and I almost put it in a plastic grocery bag! I just couldn't do it. We have alot of duct tape and I don't feel comfortable using it. I know it sounds strange but it's true.

I'm kind of feeling like I type in invisible ink...lol I mentioned about 3 posts before kitty that I knew for a fact that home depot and menards were both asked to turn in their duct tape sales records. As to other businesses in the area, I have no clue, all I know are those 2 for fact. I suppose those didn't turn up anything but there were DEFINITELY duct tape sales in the area.

Thanks for the info, Kitty! I don't remember you mentioning this before now.
Thanks Kitty! Maybe this bastard uses the tape on his job.
That may actually be good . The tape would pick up trace evidence from the job and be transferred to the crime scene helping LE to narrow down and single out the perp or focus the investigation in a new direction.

Did their neighbor say WHEN these shady people hung around there? Was it the whole time Johnny lived there or only after Lisa's parents went on holiday?

They spend a lot of time at their cottage. Lisa's friends could have been around then I suppose.

What's said and how it's said in Public statements by LE is often used to further the resolution of the case. I think we are second guessing LE here and don't know what tact they are taking. Time will tell.

It sounded to me like they'd been hanging around constantly. They basically just said "always hanging around" Obviously this is second hand info from someone who is merely an acquaintance but I thought it was noteworthy and I know other people in the area have said they weren't worried for their lives either. I didn't ask a ton of questions, I didn't want them asking why I was so wrapped up in wanting to know lol
