All I care about is justice for the crimes committed. Do you think the police/prosecutor will have a word with Maytee about the golden virtue of silence? Are they watching, and if so why are they allowing her to continue if it is jeopardizing this case?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but, is there a way that the Straubs can file a motion with the court to have their trial separate? I know that it's the same case, but I was just curious if there was a way for them to go through this process with Maytee and her clan.

the defendant can only be tried once. i know it's 2 separate murders. but the same criminal enterprise. things like this have been bifurcated, but i'd be pretty surprised. severance of a case is usually between guilt and insanity phases.
there is a good chance the Judge won't let any families attend since they are material witnesses. especially the clarkes since they were involved that night.

I bet she gets contempt of court for violating the gag order at least once. I cant believe she doesnt realize the consequences of running her mouth the way she has/is. Just because your child was murdered (in the most disgusting and diabolical of ways, I might add), it doesnt give you license to say whatever you want about who/whomever you want.

unless a defendant requests a speedy trial, which is his/her right, this could take a long time. i have seen people await trial in jail for years. intentionally. especially when it could be a death penalty case. time going by is to their benefit. witnesses forget. change their minds. drift away. whatever. i would not count on seeing this anytime soon, especially since more arrests are anticipated. there will be bargaining, psychiatric exams, all kinds of pre-trial strategy. the name of the game for a defense lawyer is delay delay delay.
note: sometimes a speedy trial is to the defendant's benefit, if it is thought that the Prosecution does not have sufficient evidence/witnesses to win in quick order. that is determined through discovery process.

Will we atleast hear something before then, like a motive or whatever else or do we have to wait until it goes to trial? Honestly, if we have to wait until it goes to trial it might kind of suck because I doubt this case will be on TV and the media only tells a tiny bit of details when they report and I hate that!

Toledo needs a damn good news investigator thats what. People out here are starving for information who is Samuel Todd Williams? Where are his family? does this fellow have a family? we know absolutely nothing about him except his height and weight - we are waiting on a motive and possibly more arrests, in the meantime while we wait a news man should be bringing us information about the bastard that was arrested. This is one of the worst crimes ever committed in the state of Ohio and we need first class reporting thats what!
