the noise doesn't seem to bother me or the kids too much; they can sleep through anything and I just drown it out with something else I guess. My dog does NOT like them though. My husband was lighting off some cheap kind that you just pick up at the grocery store and he was out barking at my husband you could tell the dog was not happy.
