Ruger .44 blackhawk. 2 Brownings and a Mauser 8mm rifle a couple of plinking .22 rifles and some pellet guns when the kids get a few years older to start them off, a draw full of knives all different lengths, a few swords and some other "stuff".

You don't have to own a gun or take your kid to the shooting range because you think you're some kind of macho badass to teach your kid gun safety. The point is that I don't feel comfortable having one with a toddler in the house or my kid's teenage friends in and out of my house constantly.
I enjoy guns about as much as I enjoy golf, they don't interest me at all.

Being macho and badass doesn't have anything to do with it at all. I like guns and I like to hunt and I will always have the means to protect me and mine from some moron that thinks HE is a badass. Its just about being safe. In this world that means live in a place with relatively low crime, it means an alarm on my house, cameras, guns, skills and passing that on to my kids and grandkids so their kids can be safe.
