Aliahna Marie Maroney Lemmon, 9, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 in Fort Wayne. Born in Ft. Wayne, IN, she was a 3^rd grade student at Holland Elementary School.

Aliahna is survived by her father, Dawayne Maroney of IA; mother, Tarah (Allen) Souders of Fort Wayne; siblings, Briana, Shaleigh, Trinity and Kyle; grandparents, Leanne (David) Story of Jacksonville, FL; Fred and Becky Maroney of New Haven, grandmother, Joy Brehm of Ohio; step-father, Allen Souders; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Aliahna was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Lemmon.

Memorial Service is 7pm, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at First Assembly of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Road, with gathering one hour prior.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Michael Plumadore, 39, of Fort Wayne was in court Wednesday morning for his initial hearing in the death of nine-year-old Aliahna Lemmon.

Security was tight with thirty Allen County Sheriff's deputies on hand as Plumadore was taken into the hearing chamber. Deputies were stationed around the perimeter of the courtroom for the proceedings and escorted him to a vehicle for transportation back to jail after his court appearance ended.

Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries said his department has been aware of threats made against the defendant and took precautions for the safety of not only Plumadore but the courthouse facility, community and law enforcement.

The hearing didn't take very long with Plumadore telling the judge that he understood his rights. The magistrate entered a not guilty plea for Plumadore. A trial date will be set on January 18, a pretrial hearing was also scheduled for February 27. A public defender will be appointed to represent him.

OMG...I can't believe I haven't seen that one yet!

I did read a post on FB from someone who was there this morning. She said it looked like he was medicated, and had a look of fear on his face..........GOOD!!!

I feel sorry for the public defender that has to be his Lawyer.
I can see the hate coming his/her way before it even begins.

“A friend to everyone, happy, smiling, she never held a grudge.” This was how Aliahna Lemmon's teachers and classmates at Holland Elementary School described her.

J. Michael Caywood, Holland Elementary School principal, shared these remarks during a memorial service Thursday evening for the nine-year-old third-grader who was brutally killed Dec. 22. Family friend Michael Plumadore allegedly confessed the killing to police after a three-day search of the area around Lemmon's home.

Haywood had brought a picture, part of a mural, which was an outline of Lemmon's left hand. She had drawn the picture as part of a school-wide project. Inside the hand was a smiling face, with stars for eyes and a heart for her tongue. Haywood said the picture would become part of a permanent memorial the school is designing for her.

Several hundred people came to the First Assembly of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Road, to support the family and remember Aliahna. Through prayer and song, memories and sermons, an attempt was made to make some sense of the tragedy.

Nine rows of family members were present, but only one spoke.

“Do not stand by my grave and cry … I am not there, I didn't die,” read Elisabeth Sepponen, a cousin, as she concluded Mary Frye's “Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep.”

At the front of the church, a large portrait of Aliahna was flanked by a framed tie-dyed t-shirt with messages to her written on the fabric, along with several smaller photographs. Nine vases of flowers in shades of pink, purple, blue and white were on either side of the photos. A large floral star in yellow and white carnations sat at one end of the display. Stuffed bears of all sizes, color and shapes were arranged around the flowers and photographs, a visual reminder the memorial service was for a child.

Many children were in the audience, possibly some of her former schoolmates. Before the service started, images from Aliahna's short life flashed across the screen – many showing her wide-eyed, smiling face, and one of her posing with a purple frosted birthday cake.

Many communities have those marques & they use them to express joy, sympathy, good luck, any number of things. I've seen ice cream cakes for sale on them one week and the next it was congrats to the schools football team in winning their division.

I hardly think they are using that kids death to drum up business.

That's true Duchess...the hotel/restaurant/cake business is right across the street from the church where the memorial was held.

I work right around the corner from the church and my sis lives right down the road. If I wouldn't have had to babysit my G-daughters last night, I would have stayed in town and went to the memorial.

The more I read about this case, the more I'm convinced EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved in this little girls life from the day she was born, needs to be in prison. I have yet to see one, just ONE single soul that has done any good for her.

I just read this morning where the mother is a wiccan. Several family/friends, including the killer were all sleeping together (swingers) and they all have a pentagram tattooed on them...family and friends alike.

I wonder how many of the 9 rows of family members at the church are child molesters? Probably all of the men and some of the women too.

I hear the memorial was very nice...other than people being outraged at the mother. I know there was heavy security there.

I think it would be in the best interest of the mother to go into hiding at this point. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if someone doesn't assault her or even try to kill her. Her and her husband BOTH served this little girl up on a silver platter to the killer. The step-father had his little girl over there too. And...the father of the other 6 yr old is all over FB saying how good he is and trying to get his daughter back. HE has a rap sheet a mile long, including being caught at a park full of trannys, and was also found with child pornography on his computer. But...he is a christian now...blah, blah, fucking blah. If ANY of them had a lick of common sense, they wouldn't be in the public eye in any way, shape or form.

Ok now, just to add to the disgustingness and trahiness of this family I took a look through FB
The oh so bootiful Diana (pictured above) is listed as in an open relationship with Maxine Payne (who according to his/her FB is trangender). Diana also has David Story listed as her husband, now not sure if there is another David Story (don’t see another) but David Story is also listed as being married to Amber Leann Story.

How is that for a fucked up family tree!!

The man accused of killing and dismembering 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon just before Christmas will be flanked by two attorneys when he appears in court this month.

Anthony S. Churchward and Mark A. Thoma have been appointed by the Allen County Public Defender’s Office to represent 39-year-old Michael Plumadore, who faces charges of murder, abuse of a corpse and moving the body after a violent death in Lemmon’s killing.

Plumadore is due in Allen Superior Court for a hearing Jan. 18.

I parse these threads because I want to miss details. That pic of her standing way to the left is very telling. Poor little girl.

I ask my kids all the time if they love their life. If I don't get the right answer, I fix what I can or we talk about how they can fix it. You should love, or at least like, your life. If not, fix it. Bless the kids who are under the control of losers. If you don't take care of the kids in your life, you are beyond redemption to me. That trumps every single thing. If you are bad to kids, you are bad. Period.
