It’s possible that George is telling the truth and I feel reasonable in doubting what LE is charging at this time. There has been no physical evidence released to indicate whether it was George or Trayvon who was the initial physical aggressor. That's what this all boils down to, for me. All we know from George’s bloody nose and head wounds is that there was an altercation, not who initiated it and nobody witnessed anything until after the altercation was in progress. I'm interested in hearing George testify under oath.

-I’d like to know why George didn’t know the name of the street that he patrolled for years in the small gated community in which he lived. If there’s a believable/reasonable explanation for that, then it will be less likely to me that he lied and used that as an excuse to justify not staying put as advised so that he could pursue Trayvon Martin (which seems to be what LE is implying in the probable cause statement).

-I wanna hear George explain his contention that he didn’t identify himself as Neighborhood Watch (or inform Trayvon that he had a gun and/or had called police) because he wanted to avoid a confrontation. To me, revealing that information would negate, rather than encourage, a confrontation. If George has a believable/reasonable explanation for that, then I’ll think it’s less likely that he lied about that contention in order to hide the fact that he was determined to stop Trayvon from getting away at all costs, simply because he harbored suspicion (and despite the fact that police had advised George that they would handle the matter).

George's answers to those questions will help clarify, for me, whether it's reasonable to believe that Trayvon attacked George and George killed him in self defense. Some physical and forensic evidence would really help; hope something compelling exists.

Robert Zimmerman Jr., Piers Morgan, Gladys Zimmerman, George’s cousin, Trayvon’s school records, previous complaints filed against George, et all…. For now, they contribute nothing to help clarify what happened the night of Feb. 26,2012 and are therefore mostly irrelevant to me. Junior seems to be working unwittingly against his family's cause and seems unbalanced to me, but he has the right to speak freely and he, not kids on the internet, is of course accountable for his own words and actions. I think they may bite his brother in the ass. We'll see.

Anyway, I don’t know if you’ll be unable to accept a “not guilty” verdict without indignation if that’s what the testimony and evidence at trial suggests to a jury, Adub. Doesn't matter. There are equally insistent and strong opinions posted here in favor of George being guilty, in favor of George being innocent, and in favor of there not being enough known to draw reach an objective conclusion at this time. Keeps it interesting.

C'mon, HoTD!

Please stop with the logic and eloquence.

Just get back to the fact TM is the NEW MLK Jr.

And "off-whitey" assassinated him.

Because not knowing the name of the street was an excuse, and nothing more. He didn't get out to find an address. He got out to follow Trayvon. He has admitted that, more than once.

He told the NE911 guy that Trayvon was heading toward the backgate. And the guy never asked Zimmerman to go find an address. That is all big fat lies. The NE911 guy told him to stop following. There is 5 minutes of time that Zimmerman cannot account for. From the time he left his truck until the gunshot was 5 minutes!

WTF was Zimmerman doing for 5 minutes if it wasn't looking for Trayvon? Had he lost his way back to his shruck?

And the street name that he couldn't remember? Is the same street that enters the gated community at the front gate.

The prosecution has this one. Zimmerman talkie talked too much.

He doesn't move or look like someone who was so badly beaten he was in fear for his life.

Is that your Youtube channel, Adub? Every single video is about this case. I like this one:

Obsession is scary. Especially if you weren't planning on fucking or eating your fixation.

This one even has rabbits:

I don't know. Maybe she got followed by an off-whitey once?

As to the scrapbook, most definitely. And a skittles shrine.

The time line is something that I'm anxious to see presented at trial, along with hearing how far George and Trayvon were from the truck when the altercation started and their position in relation to the street sign.

If the street was in fact the main one into the complex, I'm even more curious to hear George's explanation for not knowing it and needing to go find a street sign. If he'd given that street name in any of his previous NE911 calls, I can see the prosecution using that to dispute the claim of memory loss (don't know if that's the case, just curious).

I wonder if George will testify. I can't figure out why he waived the SYG Immunity Hearing unless he didn't want to testify, which I believe is required for immunity. On the other hand, while it's common for defendants to testify in self defense murder cases, it's not mandatory.

If George does in fact plan to testify at trial, I don't really understand the reasoning that being found "not guilty" in a long drawn out murder trial is more of a victory than having a judge declare that there's no evidence to dispute your contention of self defense and that the state has no case against you. But, maybe to the Zimmermans and O'Mara there a valid reason.

I suspect they waived that hearing because the defense attorney calculated his odds.

Given the publicity and political pressure, what are the odds that a SYG hearing would go his way? Just about zero is my guess... what judge is going to find in his favor in this charged up environment? They would certainly defer and let it go to trial, erring on the side of caution. So losing the SYG hearing would put a serious taint on Zimmerman going into trial. The prosecution would mention at every chance how the SYG hearing didn't go his way.

So my opinion is that the defense decided to take their chances at trial, with no SYG hearing to muddy it up.

Makes sense if the defense felt the odds of having immunity granted were not in their favor, for any reason.

Personally, I'd take a judge over a jury, but that's probably because I'm very jury-weary currently.

Whatever the reason, hoping that George testifies at trial. I'd like to hear from him directly.

The Judge does not have the last say in a "SYG" hearing. It is very much appealable. Which would have put the trial on hold. Until a higher court ruled.

The only reason Zimmerman is not having an immunity hearing is because he would have to tesitfy. Zimmerman would HAVE to take the stand in order to win. Because the burden is on Zimmerman at an immunity hearing. Not on the Prosecution. The only person that can testify as to how Zimmerman was in fear for his life is Zimmerman.

And then the Prosecution would rip him to shreds.

And the Judge would rule no immunity for Fatty.

If Zimmerman would have to take the stand, I agree with Adub that the defense wouldn't want him up there. Not that the prosecution could necessarily tear him apart but why take the chance? I doubt they'll put him on the stand at trial.

I'd be stunned if Zimmerman takes the stand.

He has to take the stand. He is claiming self-defense. How else is the jury going to hear evidence of reasonable fear?
