I remember and I'm keeping it in mind. I'm also considering the source(s) and their potential interests when weighing the validity of new releases.

No need to be drastic. Let's slow down and think about this. There are very few places where it's inappropriate to shake ass in IMO.

Snip:
Washington (CNN) -- The House of Representatives voted Thursday to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for refusing to turn over documents tied to the botched Fast and Furious gun-running sting -- a discredited operation that has become a sharp point of contention between Democrats and Republicans in Washington.

Add:
The criminal contempt charge now goes to DC U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen. He was appointed by Obama and will be the one who decides whether to file charges against Holder. The majority of legal analysts don't think he will take any action.
Meanwhile, some democrats walked out of the proceedings in protest and insist this is a politically charged witch hunt.

I think in a few years, whatever did and didn't go down behind the scenes (in terms of the DOJ and White house strategy for dealing with Congress) will likely be revealed. There's not gonna be any criminal action against Holder. If civil action is pursued, it will take forever. Imo, the F&F scandal reached its public awareness peak in the last two weeks and is going to fade out quickly as other issues move to the forefront.
Obama had a damn good week; he may be doing the Happy Dance.
-The USSC shot down much of Arizona's immigration law in favor of federal governance.
-The USSC upheld Obama's Health Care law and ruled the individual coverage mandate constitutional.
-While Holder was charged with contempt by the House, the Justice pretty much just said, "whatever" and there's a fair amount of suspicion that it's just Republican maneuvering against Democrats.
I keep wondering if the first two points will actually help Romney; wondering how many undecided voters want tougher immigration law enforcement (state or fed) and how many object to mandated health care as a tax and/or an infringement of individual choice. The October debates will make for a good showdown on some important issues other than just the economy, imo.

It will only simmer down in the Presidential arena, the senate and the house well that's another story.
Walk the fuck off your job and see if you have one in the morning when you want to come back.
It was a symbolic FU to the american people, not everyone gets paid with EBT cards.

I don't know, Dick. The contempt issue may continue to brew in Congress, but what's the point?
Issa's on a mission (wonder what his future political aspirations are?), but a lot of seats open for re-election this year and it may not be too smart for some in Congress to be perceived as beating a dead horse. You could be right, I just think it could easily go the other way too.
In either event, I don't think there will be a lot of press coverage moving forward, so it will fade from general public awareness for the most part. JMO.

May well be true, but being perceived as beating a dead horse could be problematic. That's my point. This will quickly be well covered by the blanket. I could be wrong.
