I fear the worst for this little boy. It's been too long. Another child lost to a monster.

I still don't understand how these stupid dimwits like the boyfriend, Ayla's father, Lisa's parent's, Aliayah's mum etc etc manage to do away with the kids and make it so they are never found!

You'd be surprised how resourceful murderers and abusers are when they don't want to get caught.

no, i wouldn't be surprised Ma. but they almost always make a mistake. they usually think they are smarter than anyone else and they slip up.

i hope the tribe scalps him and burns him alive at the next sacred fire. (if he killed the child)

Court documents revealed more about the adults in Carnel's life. 6 News checked court records in Isabella County and found an abuse and neglect petition was filed back in February of 2008, just a month after Carnel was born. The documents say his mother, now 21-year-old Jaimie Chamberlain, told a probation officer to take the child because she didn't want him anymore and didn't love him.

She reportedly had a substance abuse problem and admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol. The documents also show she had a history of running away from home.

Carnel's biological father, Byron Keith Francis, was also named in the abuse and neglect petition. 6 News checked records with the Michigan Department of Corrections and found he's now behind bars serving a 4 to 10 year sentence for felonious assault.

The man taking care of Carnel when he disappeared, Anthony Michael Bennett, served time in prison for trying to assault a police officer and running from police.

ISABELLA COUNTY -- The search is still on for Carnell Chamberlain, the young Isabella County boy who has been missing since last Thursday night.

Carnell was supposed to be in the care of Anthony Bennett, the boy's mother's now ex-boyfriend, when he went missing on Thursday. The mother then called police to start the search.

Both Carnell's mother and Bennett were brought in for questioning on Friday. The mother took a polygraph test and everything looked normal. Bennett refused to take the test. According to a spokesperson from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, "he was playing games with authorities."

Monday morning Bennett was brought in to police authorities under a different arrest warrant. There were pictures taken and he reportedly had scratches on his arms.

Bennett is not in police custody, but he is under watch. GENIUSES!

Sometimes they DON'T make a mistake. The chill for me is this may be one of those times. Call me an asshole, but these sociopaths study each other's bs to fix what the earlier folks got wrong. It's like a game.

I feel blessed in being able to be in the company of Bret Easton Ellis when he wrote American Psycho. He never did any of the actions depicted in the book, but he WANTED to. It was an interesting observation. A serial killer who comitted his murders in fiction. That was OK by me.

I guess Ma, and being a child would make it easier to hide the evidence.
I hope this guy made a mistake.
I have a feeling though that if they never find enough evidence against him the tribe like LC said will make their own justice.

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -
BREAKING UPDATE: TV5 can confirm that the body of missing 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain was found on Thursday afternoon underneath a patio at the boy's home.

Police in Mount Pleasant were seen putting up crime scene tape around Carnel's mother's house. A crime lab vehicle and two Michigan State Police cars pulled up to the house and brought in a cadaver dog late Thursday afternoon. The animal was seen moving around the home's front and back porches.

Once authorities set up a perimeter, they pushed TV5 off the property. A neighbor told TV5 that earlier today they could smell a "barbeque-like" smell coming the area the night Carnel was reported missing. JESUS!

The Morning Sun in Mount Pleasant also reported that the boy's body was found underneath one of those porches.

WNEM.com will be updating this story with new details as we learn them throughout the evening.

The boy has been missing for seven days since first disappearing last Thursday night while in the care of his mother's boyfriend. Authorities said they're still questioning the boyfriend, who they've labeled "a person of interest" in the case. TV5 spoke at length with Carnel's mom about the boy's disappearance.

According to TV5 reporter Andrew Keller, Carnel's mother, 21-year-old Jaimee Chamberlain, had allowed her boyfriend, Anthony Bennett, to move into her home about seven months ago. A week ago, Jaimee said she saw bruises on Carnel's buttocks. She asked Anthony about it and she said he admitted to doing it because the boy didn't clean his room. Jaimee then said Carnel complained about Anthony "being mean."

Later, when Jaimee came home last Thursday night from her job around 10 p.m., she asked Anthony where Carnel was and she said he replied, "he came up missing." Jaimee said she told Anthony to put Carnel to bet at 9 p.m. Anthony told her he's last seen the boy playing in the pool in the back yard at 9:30 p.m.

Jaimee said she went next door to the neighbors to see if they had seen Carnel. When they said no, she called police. Police told her to stay in her house. Jaime said she went into the bathroom and saw that the carpet was wet. She said Anthony claimed he was setting up a bath for her and it overflowed. Jaimee told TV5 she also found two brown spots on the carpet in the bathroom where it was wet and said it smelled like cleaning solution.

Jaimee also said she was looking through the laundry and found wet shorts that Carnel had been wearing that day.

This innocent child lay under the porch for 7 fucking days? LE, the FBI, the mother, neighbors or relatives NO ONE thought to look around the fucking house???

I raise livestock for a living. When an mammal dies there is a distinct odor that comes with the decomposition process. I would not expect an "average Joe" to know the odor-but LE and the FBI are trained in this. Not one of them smelled the decomp? This is really hard for me to believe.

I gave the mother the benefit of the doubt when this story broke, but no more. That bitch knew her "boyfriend" was hitting Carnell and she not only didn't kick him out, she let the shitbag be alone with her son. She needs to be charged with failure to protect or accessory to murder.

Rest in Peace Carnell. You were a beautiful, precious boy. Bless you.

Oh fuck. RIGHT under the porch. Poor baby.

Cheyne-- im right on board with u about giving the mother the benefit of the doubt at first. But just another skank valuing dick over the well being of her child. The fact there were bruises should make it obvious to her that it was more than just "discipline".

What I'd like to know is how the incompetent asses have been "searching" for him this whole week and never even looked under the damn porch.... Come on.... If my child is missing, i would look anywhere and everywhere.... She said she checked the fridge.... The fridge.... But not under the porch where he was supposedly playing..... Honest???? And you can't tell me in the sweltering heat they couldn't smell him.... Someone was like oh, yea there was like a BBQ smell back there.... Wtf is wrong w people... Too many curse words and just plain curses running through my head to even list....

Yes, they did arrest him, but haven't heard that he's said anything.... Just makes me nauseous and infuriates me every time I think about it. I think we all knew where it was going, but you hope to be wrong....

OH God. This breaks my heart.

I too do not understand how LE didn't look under the porch in the beginning and didn't detect the smell of the body in the past 7 days.
