Volunteers are spaced every few hundred yards and a command center is set up on Tomah Road near the Tribal campground as officials continue to search a one-square-mile area of the Isabella County Indian Reservation for a 4-year-old boy who disappeared about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night.
Carnell Chamberlain was last seen at a home on Tomah Road near the campground.
Search efforts, led by bloodhounds and volunteer searchers, are concentrated in an area bordered by Remus, Shepherd, Leaton and Tomah roads.
An Aeromed helicopter searched the area in the early morning hours as groups of volunteers hit the streets, woods and fields calling the boy’s name.
But nearly 15 hours into the search, officials are reporting no significant leads as spotters, all of them wearing yellow vests and several perched under canopies and makeshift shelter from the sun, line the roads.
Volunteers coordination, meanwhile, is headquartered in the Senior Room at the Tribal Operations building.
At least 50 people are gathered in the volunteer center and officials are saying no additional volunteers will be needed until at least 6 p.m.

You're right. Too early and not enough information to jump to any conclusions.

Carnell Chamberlain was last seen at a home on Tomah Road near the campground and the community swimming pool.
Tribal spokesman Frank Cloutier said people were coming and going at the boy’s home when his mother noticed the child wasn’t where he should have been.
“They started to look,” Cloutier said. “There was a bit of a panic.”

well first we had the "aunty", now an 'uncle' in comments section:

George Lucas 40 minutes ago

this kid did not walk anywhere... im his uncle and he was not at the hill.... the story is that he was on the back porch playing. i got a feeling this is foul play the one who is watching him his name is antony bennette. on his face he has a feather tattoo and also one the says "crazy"!!!! the cops took him to talk and he will not talk without a lawyer. we keep looking but we wont find him until he talks.

locals are very imteresting, but this is unsubstantiated gossip at this point.

MT. PLEASANT — The FBI has joined the investigation into the disappearance of a 4-year-old boy from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe in mid-Michigan. Authorities say they've identified a "person of interest" in the case.

The Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun reports Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police released a statement early Saturday calling Carnell Chamberlain's disappearance "mysterious." The statement didn't say if authorities had spoken to the person of interest.

Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Tribal Fire Department members searched through a Dumpster on East Tomah Road in Mt. Pleasant Saturday evening, looking for clues on the whereabouts of 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain, who went missing from his home on Tomah Thursday night.
A Tribal Police officer on the scene said the Dumpster search was part of the ongoing investigation.
Next door, Carnel’s mother, 21-year-old Jaimee Chamberlain, sat outside with friends and family, waiting for news.
“I just want him home, I don’t care what happened,” Jaimee said, and another person in the crowd at the home added, “We just want a safe return.”
Jaimee said she has just gotten home from her job at Isabella’s restaurant at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort Thursday when she learned that Carnel was missing. She looked around her yard, and “knew something happened” when he wasn’t near the house.
“My son’s not a wanderer,” she said. “I always thought I’d have one of those kids you almost need a leash for, but he never went far, he stuck close.”
Jaimee said the police and FBI have assured her that they are doing everything they can to find Carnell, and that rumors and tips involving the case were rampant.
“One thing I was told is that my aunt saw a dark green or black van with lights on the top in our area at that time. The police said they would look through the security footage at the casino, but I don’t know if that’s happened.”
She said she is willing to do anything to get her son back, and offered the public her phone number, 989-317-7256 and her home address, 7340 E. Tomah Road, to anyone who can help.
“I want to say to whoever has him, can you please bring my son home? I just want him back, I’ll give whatever amount of money or I don’t care what. I just want him home.”
