Someone I love lives outside of Richmond and he is furious about the statues/monuments there being removed. He's a history buff and feels there is a place for them.

Removing statues doesn't erase history. And many of the confederate statues went up during periods in American history when there was civil unrest and "patriots" tried to do their own rewriting of history to make war criminals and traitors into great American heroes to quell the uppity blacks and show them their place.

There are a ton of average white people who think they are better than average black or brown people. They aren't, and they're worse for thinking they are.

Being a racist is a deal breaker for most people but not for trump supporters, it's a requirement.

Columbus never even made it to America and why did the Fredrick Douglas statue come down? I think there is something else going on I'm not sure what it is.

Your hate for Trump is painted with a roller. Racism is a word used way to often when people want to insult others. I feel that there is much less racism today than there was 10-20-30-40 years ago. It's seems that anyone today can have racism with the narrative put out today, in fact people have to bend over backwards to find it. imagined or not.
