After denigrating our troops by calling them suckers & losers trump makes an ad asking people to support them. His ad uses Russian jets.

His biggest supporters. hah
Scientific American has never endorsed a presidential candidate in our 175-year history—until now.

The 2020 election is literally a matter of life and death. We urge you to vote for health, science and Joe Biden for President.
Every single election for the past 50 years has been the "Most important" election, not sure if you've never heard that before, just a pleasant reminder.

Actually probably every election has been, especially for the politicians running.  Smiley_emoticons_smile
That particular comment was more about a bipartisan entity that had never before involved itself in a presidential election but now feel moved to do so because things are so dire.

They certainly are jumping on the bandwagon. I'm not sure about their motivation.

Pennsylvania: The Supreme court and the Executive branch there has changed the voting perimeters.
Today they are claiming that the total counts do not have to be tallied until 3-4 days after election day.
They have also decided that tossing a ballot on a "technicality" like a signature not matching a previous one is not enough to nullify a ballot.
Also they have declared that a third "Green party" candidate will not be allowed on the ballot no matter that he jumped through all the legal perimeters to be on it.

But.............

The Republicans own the House and Senate in Pennsylvania and that gives them the ability to override the Supreme Court and the Executive branch in that State.

This could get interesting as the clock ticks.
Give me that flag!!!!

Today is the first day of early voting in Virginia and the lines are incredible. I hope you all get to see it. If I can find a still photograph I'll post it. Go Americans, go!
Here's one view.

Thanks, Roo! Isn't that beautiful.  Smiley_emoticons_smile
It really is. I commented that we can't know that it's a "blue wave" but it's good to see people voting and they pointed out that so many masks and social distancing probably means they're dems. Sad but true.

I plan to. On November 3rd. After I get out of work at 430 pm. Or maybe I should take the whole day off in case there are long lines.
I'm seeing more Trump than Biden stuff here, that is very unusual.
IDK I just want people to get out and vote. A good turnout means less debate afterwards.
That's how I feel too.
trump had another super-spreader hate rally last night. It was a disgusting, vile display. These are some of the things he said...

Ali Velshi is a highly regarded journalist, he was hit with rubber bullets in Minneapolis and trump's response to that was "it was the most beautiful thing"

In speaking of AOC, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib he said "we'll prosecute 'em. Yeah. Why not?"

He's still talking about Secretary Clinton's emails and thinks the FBI is hiding them from him. He talked about how angry she makes him & he got the cult to start chanting "lock her up"

He threatened to pull licences from CNN & NBC. They do not have licenses. Like dictators everywhere he doesn't want citizens to have access to the truth.

trump, who regularly uses a teleprompter mocked VP Biden for using one.

There's more, so much more, but you get the idea. None of this is normal, love them or hate them our past presidents were dignified and there was no doubt that they loved the United States of America. The same cannot be said about trump.
Thanks for the summary, I didn't watch it.
I just don't have the stomach for this right now. I sincerely wish he and McConnell would spontaneously combust.
ActBlue has taken in $67 million dollars for Democratic candidates since Justice Ginsberg's death last night.

There is an obscene amount of money in politics.
