Catch22, I wasn't implying that the mother set up the murders, just speculating that if it was a revenge attack for something she and Johnny's dad had done, it could have been planned that way deliberately so that the parents would be the ones to find the bodies.

Doesn't make sense unless she damn sure wanted the police to find the bodies. This woman knew there was something 'stinkin' going on in there before she got there. IMHO

Finally caught up on all the posts. I'm not going to bash TW, her character on other forums speaks for itself (MS and FB). I found it very odd when listening to the 911 calls, that she had an answer to everything before it was even asked...i.e., "I called to let him know I was gonna run to the store, My friends mom just got home so I borrowed her car," etc. I am paraphrasing here, but my point is that liars over-explain things. They need to get all their facts straight in their own heads before talking to anyone and have answers that are rehearsed. I keep thinking that if I were in the same situation, being put on the phone with 911 and all, I would probably be saying something like "This is really crazy" or "I don't know what's up, but something isn't right here..." I wouldn't be able to rattle off a series of events in chronological order as TW so easily did.

TW had spoken with several people before the 911 call. Ruben (I think), Sharita, Maytee and JC's father on the way over to the house. She would have had to relay the series of events a number of times. This is what, in my mind, makes all the "umm's" during the 911 call so strange.

OK, so John & Lisa pull up in the driveway, they go in the house, via the garage, into the kitchen area, shut the door, Lisa heads on to her room to get changed, the perps have been hiding ?? maybe to the side of the house? or there's a place to hide inside the garage?? They use the same door, to get into the home, & .... ? I go blank here
or - the perps knew when JC was going to pick up Lisa from work, & got into the house, during that time... but it's hard to believe someone would take a chance, either way, while JC was on a phone, talking to someone ?? I need to take a break, my brain is fried, lol

If Tiffany was involved in a set up, then why would she even make a call to Sharita, in the first place? If she knew what was going down, why not leave it alone, & let someone find the bodies, later? Why would she call anyone ?

i finally listened to the first two 911 calls and i was really surprised with how "normal" maytee seemed to me. previously, i had mostly only read the crazy shit she was posting after the fact, but she actually seemed like a normal, intelligent, and genuinely concerned person on those calls.
i think a lot of the misinformation she gave to the dispatcher was basically her filling in the blanks and/or telling the dispatcher whatever she thought would get the police to do SOMETHING. i think she just mis-spoke several times because of all of the stress she was under, and maybe not really having all of the facts straight herself.

MOST criminals don't put themselves right in the middle of things. instead they try and completely distance themselves from any involvment whatsoever.

I am leaning toward believing this was a robbery (that was a total set-up) gone bad. My theory is that the bags were used so that JC and LS couldn't identify their attackers, and they were really just a bunch of amature pill poppers jonesing for some oxy and maybe thought the Straubs had some $ they could take as well. I think TW called Sarita because she wanted her to call police and send someone to the house to "find" the victims - thinking it would all happen in a fast enough time that they (LS & JC) would still be alive and "saved." TW didn't want to call herself because she is still dealing with her case from Oct and didn't want to face police. The murderers, being the well-educated geniuses they are, probably truly believed the bags wouldn't kill LS & JC for a much longer time than it actually takes.
I find it an odd coincidence that LS and TW only became FB friends 10 days before the murders. The only post shown between the two is LS asking TW for her "digits." IF they truly were friends, why wouldn't LS have her # already and why had they just become FB friends? |
