Love isn't blind for me, but it's not arrogant either. I know that the people who love me have to put with my flaws and I'm happy to do the same in turn. In fact, knowing and mocking each others' flaws is often how we show affection and is the source for a lot of laughs (not a sensitive bunch).

But, I have loved a couple of people (non-family) whose flaws were truly lifestyle and stability ruiners; those haven't been overlooked or celebrated. Those types of "flaws" instead resulted in offering help and disengaging until/unless the situation changed.

Lately my husband has been taking the blanket and wrapping it around himself so tightly that I can barely cover my feet. I have to cuss him out in the middle of the night just to get my half back. I don't take the blanket, I take his pillow and I don't take it gently, I rip it out from under his head & throw it across the room. I've been doing it for years now. I don't know why I do it & I don't always know I've done it unless the act of throwing it wakes me up.

oh my...i didn't mean to make it sound like i am so huge he we needed to get a king...he has said if we had a bed the size of an olympic pool he would still wake up with half his ass hanging off the bed and me wrapped around him. (yes i'm a little chubby but still adorable i might add ... i really don't think he minds...

How's that working out for you?

When one narrows one's tolerance to minor annoyance like ice narrows a mountain trail, eventually the weary traveler finds that way frozen and impassable and will choose a different route.
