36-year-old Christine Wright Darrisaw is accused of saying “I’m going to (expletive) and kill Obama,” is what she is accused of saying to a White House operator. The alleged threat was part of a long tirade about child custody laws. The operator at the White House told the Secret Service “she recognized the caller’s voice because she’s always calling the White House with regard to child custody issues. The papers go on to say the “female caller was rambling wildly and screaming into the phone that she needed Obama to fix this.

The government should know that something is wrong with this woman and drop these charges. Her family says the February 24^th phone call to the White House was made out of desperation. “She’s a nice, loving, church-going woman,” says Minnie Pearl Wright. “She would never, never harm (President) Obama.” You can tell from her mug shot pictures she is going through some issues. This is a sad situation all the way around I hope this woman gets the help she needs.

PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A transient accused of skinning and eating a cat while camping inside a Phoenix warehouse and music venue has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Russell Hofstad, 24, was also sentenced Wednesday to four years' probation after his prison term.

Hofstad pleaded guilty July 25 to burglary and cruelty to animals.
Police said Hofstad broke into a warehouse on 25^th Street near Jefferson Street. Officers were called to the scene because of loud music playing. Once inside, they said Hofstad was wearing face paint and appeared to be under the influence of something.

He told police he was homeless and hungry and had no place to go after being released from jail earlier this month.

Police said they saw the skinned cat in the middle of the warehouse. Hofstad told officers he hit the cat with a stick, stabbed it and then skinned it with a butter knife. The cat's internal organs were found in a cooler. Police said Russell was wearing the cat's tail around his neck on a rope, along with a piece of the cat's internal organs.

Hofstad told officers he wanted to taxidermy the cat, and save its skeleton for a party decoration.

The man accused of shooting a police officer Thursday at a hotel near Merrill Field later admitted to stealing cars and burglarizing homes to feed a heroin addiction, charges say.

It was those Hillside break-ins police were investigating when Jason W. Barnum opened fire from a bathroom at the Merrill Field Inn, police say. His weapon: A handgun stolen in the recent burglaries and vehicle thefts, according the charges. One officer was lightly injured in the gunfire and is expected to return to work Tuesday.

Two officers shot back, striking Barnum in the right arm, said Lt. Anthony Henry.

Described by police as a "serial burglar," Barnum spent most of the past decade in prison on burglary and forgery convictions. The 37-year-old is now charged with attempted murder in the two-hour standoff that emptied the hotel, froze traffic on Fifth Avenue and drew nearly every on-duty police officer in the city.
