I'd say that, combined with the fact that they've been held in captivity, makes it a pretty safe bet.

I think it's likely too. LE hasn't confirmed that yet, nor whether there are other children involved - not that I've seen anyway.

What the girls went through being held captive by the brothers was bad enough and I hate to think it went even further. But, it's possible that there were other men coming to the house. I think neighbors probably would have noticed it and reported it, but these scumbags were able to keep 3 women and at least one child a secret from neighbors for years and years, so there may be more to the story.

I'm sure that we'll hear more details as the week progresses.

Won't be surprised if some of what's reported in that blog is true and there was a fourth girl (or more) and the girls were shared with other men. No way to know what all went down yet.

I'm sure the girls are being thoroughly questioned and investigators have to be respectful as to how they go about it. Despite the fact that they've all been reported as physically healthy and positive (I would be too after being freed from that fucking nightmare), they've gotta be deeply traumatized.

I agree with the blogger; the entire Castro family and associates need to be investigated further. Betting FBI is all over them and their friends as we speak.

Not confirmed and there are conflicting reports, but there's talk about forced abortions and brutal beatings to force miscarriages. This according to local CNN reporter (careful to note that there's no offical confrimation from LE).

The reporter also stated that one of the girls is still in the hospital and not doing well, in conflict with yesterday's report. It's likely Michelle Knight, the oldest one who was enslaved the longest and assumed to have left on her own accord because she was 20 years old at the time she vanished (may have been other reasons for that assumption too, but haven't heard/read any).

Relief that the victims are still alive is subsiding for me and anger for the depravity of what they experienced is taking over. There really is not punishment severe enough for the Castros and anyone else involved in any way.

The neighbor, Ramsey, who helped the girls escape was interviewed by Anderson Cooper on CNN tonight.

According to this neighbor, the six year old daughter of Amanda Berry asked for her daddy when he was helping her and Amanda out of the house. He said he asked her who her daddy was and she said "Ariel", which shocked him. That's not official confirmation, but everything now known points to Ariel Castro being the father.

The police responses to previous calls regarding activity at the house (along with the fact that the 911 operator didn't stay on the line with Berry until police arrived on Monday) are under investigation. This was confirmed by an LE spokesperson in Cleveland this evening on CNN.

They informed the police, the police attended the address but didn't search the premises this was over two years ago!

There are always people who come out of the woodwork for their 15 minutes whenever something garnering national/global attention breaks. Only a fool regards whatever every unauthorized/unverified "witness" proclaims to be gospel.

I'm certain you see the same attention-seeking behavior tied to tragedies in the UK too. Certain of it. I watch global news (and read the sub-titles).

I won't be surprised if the police dropped the ball in this case; it's happened before. They may even have been so incompetent as to be successfully sued over it. But, I wanna hear from someone other than the block gossips before presuming to know what went down.

Very messed up family. Her mother filed assault charges against Ariel including that he broke her nose twice etc. I'm not surprised that the daughter turned out fucked up too.
