He was only a "big man" when it came to terrorizing those women. I saw him in court, he couldn't even hold his head up. Pussy muthafucka.

I feel sorry for the little kid the most, how is her mother going to explain the nature of her birth and early life?
Daddy is a kidnapper and rapist and you are a rape baby?

He'd be sentenced to hundreds of years if that comes to pass. snip: Castro's defense attorneys said they are willing to plead guilty to all the charges, but murder. They are hoping the prosecutors will drop the murder charges so they can avoid a lengthy trial and spare the women from testifying. Here's our first look at those young women. They appear to be thriving & after listening to a bit of commentary early this morning I'm left with the impression that the DA and his office are going to do what they can to resolve this case in such a way that those young women won't have to testify and continue the horror that dreadful man started. It would be a good thing to have a plea deal that sends that man straight to prison for the rest of his life, no trial, no testimony, just send him away forever.

That's cool, Duchess. They do appear well. I always look at the teeth.
It made me a little sad that the last young woman didn't have anyone by her side (seemingly). Commando Cunt Queen

That's the same young woman who made you sad when they were rescued. She had no one to welcome her home & doesn't want anything to do with her mother. Everyone, including her family had her chalked up to being a runaway even though she was of age. No one really searched for her and she soon fell off the radar. The guy who kidnapped them beat the hell out of her on a regular basis & threatened to kill her if the other girl's baby died while she delivered it. I was very happy to see them all looking so well. I hope they are in therapy or at least have people who they trust and who they feel they can talk to.

It might please you to know that I've just read that Gina's family has taken her in and are loving her like their own. This won't be a surprise but it sounds like there has been a little difficulty in adjusting to their freedom. Gina was only a week past her 14th birthday and emotionally/mentally her growth has been stunted. It's said that they all have to be watched, whatever the hell that means but none of them are left on their own.

I guess it was that way from the start and I'm sure the torture just made it worse. I wonder if she's seen her son. What an awkward reunion THAT would be (I would think). I hope the other girls are getting lots of treatment and can catch up (so to speak). Commando Cunt Queen

Not that this makes any difference but they look absolutely beautiful. And purely out of my own curiosity, I wonder what the "condition" is that Michelle Knight has. I only bring it up because when they were found, we were told Michelle has some kind of condition that causes her to become confused by her surroundings. Seeing her in the video, I couldn't help but be reminded of someone I knew who was pretty high-functioning autistic.
I realized about a month ago that the house is only a couple blocks from the shelter i volunteer at. (this is the west side. Im from the east side, so Im not as familiar with the area) Of course I had to go by. It was so surreal. Still 2 cops posted outside the fence. Still blows my fucking mind that this happened. And Im sure is still happening other places, under the noses of other neighbors. This fucking world...

Castro was in court today with his two defense attorneys.
-The trial date is set for August 5th; both sides confirmed to Judge Michael Russo that they are working toward a plea deal as a resolution. -The plea deal would require the death penalty to be taken off the table before the defense will agree to one. If they don't reach a plea deal soon, I think that the August 5th trial date will be substantially delayed; lots of evidence for the prosecution to process and turn over with reasonable time for the defense to review and prepare. Snip: The defense attorneys have been given more discovery evidence “in a shorter period of time than any case in the history of this county,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty said. But Castro's defense team said the prosecution had missed the deadline for sharing its evidence three weeks before a trial. Prosecutors said they would share forensic evidence from a state crime laboratory as soon as they receive it. The evidence wasn't specified in court. McGinty acknowledged the time demands to review evidence and prepare for trial and added, “We've got nearly 1,000 counts in a period of 10 years of solid crime — never stopped, day after day after day.” The judge cut McGinty off, saying it wasn't time for speeches. http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/natio...0507.story

I don't know if anyone can answer this but maybe - all parties involved KNOW there will be a deal, it will require him spending the rest of his life in prison, period. All it should involve is some signatures, why do they make it so convoluted?
07-24-2013, 06:09 PM
Convoluted probably wasn't the right word for some of you but it often is for me in regards to this legal bs.

A deal has been reached & Castro did the right thing and accepted it - Accused Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro appeared in court today to accept a plea deal under which he will serve a life sentence plus 1,000 years for the kidnap and rape of three women. Castro was said to have agreed to the deal - after initially pleading not guilty to all 977 counts against him - to spare him the death penalty. His previous not guilty pleas were withdrawn. Under the offer, the 53-year-old will spend the rest of his life behind bars without the possibility of parole, meaning he will die in prison. It also means his three victims Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus will not have to testify about their more than ten-year ordeal in front of a jury. Story

Good news.
Keep that sucker locked up for life and let those girls continue trying to readjust to having their freedom. If Michelle, Amanda and Gina had felt strongly about pursuing the death penalty, no matter what, I think prosecutors would have respected that and won. Since Castro spending the rest of his life in a cage with no possibility of ever leaving was acceptable to the girls, glad to hear that they won't have to testify at trial and deal with appeals and possible parole hearings.

Personally, I'd rather get the death penalty than spend the rest of my life in prison. At least with the death penalty you get your own cell and aren't subject to getting beat up/killed/raped by the other inmates, you get a tasty "last meal" of your choice, and you're put to death painlessly via lethal injection.
That said, I'm happy these women will not have to testify or face this sick fuck ever again. |
