It's not just a religious thing. I'm pretty sure murder is illegal according to federal and state law also. Abortion is fine if medical complications caused by you or the baby and you would die without the abortion. But to just abort a baby because it is unwanted because of rape, financial or some other reason is just wrong. There is always the choice of putting the baby up for adoption.

The word "abortion" I have not really heard used in practice, however, I think people who want to call it "abortion" and think it's murder then, don't have one.

Clang is right. Ending a pregnancy is ending a life and that would technically be murder especially if done for no other reason than it's an inconvenience. Life begins at conception and spin it any way you want but that is basic science for all of you people that like to "follow the science".

Not everyone has the same belief systems. That's the beauty of living in a free country, a multicultural faith democracy. Right to choose. I personally, would never do it, but I can't say what others will do, that's not my decision. It's a private medical decision based on a number of factors.
