Another press conference today in Moscow, IDAHO, in the USA.

Surviving roommates called friends over because they thought someone was unconscious upstairs in house. Multiple people talked to the dispatcher during 911 call.
Police believe none of them are responsible.

They are saying Jack is cleared.

Hard to make sense of all of this- were bedroom doors locked and roommates not responding?
Cannot imagine how contaminated that crime scene may be with a number of people coming over before police got there.
The strategy to publicly clear people this quickly is interesting but wonder if it’s 100%true or just trying to shut down rumors until investigators are ready to formally name someone.

Coroner said they were sleeping when attacked and only some had defensive wounds.

Today’s press conference didn’t provide much
-over 100 pieces of evidence collected
-processed more than 1000 tips
-over 150 interviews done
-over 4000 photos and multiple 3D scans of house

Said the following have been cleared:
-2 surviving roommates
-those on the 911 call
- hoodie guy on food truck video
- person that drove kaylee and Maddie home that night
- the guy the girls called several times after getting home (“Jack”)

They also said they’ve heard that Kaylee had a stalker but they have found no evidence of it

Kaylee’s family is making it clear they are frustrated with investigation
Also saying they dispute the timeline given.
Police say Kaylee and Maddie got home at 1:45am ( same time as Ethan and Xana)
Kaylee’s sister says they know it was 1:56 am. And stresses those minutes could matter.

U of Idaho is not requiring students to come back to campus until next year because of safety concerns with this killer at large.

The FBI, police, and Prosecutor were photographed going to the command center to work on the investigation on Thanksgiving.

In the last press conference a reporter asked if they were looking into other stabbing in the vicinity to see if they could be related since still unsolved:

A 71-year-old woman stabbed to death in her home in June 2020.
A 26-year-old couple attacked with a knife in their home around 3 am in Aug 2021 - the man was killed but his wife survived.
