So you need to understand the "facts" you are reading. You are the one being ignorant. Like you said you don't know him you only go by what you read. I go by what I know and live on a day to day basis. You say cameo was a pimp drug dealer. Where on any documents does it say he was guilty of such things. He has drug use and domestic violence the rest of his charges are driving. Since you don't associate with his type why are you on here talking about him? Until you sit down and have a conversations with him I don't think you should judge him. You can't always believe what you read there is always more to a story. An just bc he put his hands on ppl don't make him capable of murder. These kids were not beaten to death. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion but I base my post on facts that were presented by all parties involved in this case.
A Civics course might be in order here...
If you are wanting FACTS, then dont base "what you know to be fact" to
be based in heresay. Hearing it from the lawyers, prosecution and
detectives...is hearing it second hand. Although they are incredibly reliable
sources, no doubt, if you really wanted to deal with facts, then youd
read the court dockets.
Besides, alot gets left out by judge rulings, lawyer decisions etc, from
the courtroom...it might be in your best interest to invest some time in
reading and really having a factual foundation.

I also feel resentful (not that it is any of my business) that Lisa Staub's death will also be forever linked to Johnny Clarke. Not right at all, imho. Lisa was more than Johnny. As, I'm sure, SM can attest to.
Maytee seemed to be estranged from the Negrin's from the eastside of Toledo. Why was that? And why is the memorial page for a "beloved" Negrin filled with friends of Cameo Pettaway? That must grate on Maytee's nerves.

funny you say that if your reffering to Negrin Memorial page , and yes most of cameo's faily and friends were on that page sadly because Maytee was running , but once the REAL family of Negrin found out who was on there they took her off and deleted the page and made a new one , how sad is that .

She got together when she and Sam were pretty young didn't she? I got the impression that he wasn't in to his crime wave anywhere near as much when he was with her, please correct me if I am wrong, but he wasn't pimping girls out back when she was with him, was she? He seems to have definitely chosen the crime route after she split from him
From what other posters here have said, she seems to be a hardworking lady who wants what is best for her kids and has brought Sam's son up to be a polite, nice child.

Well I can't ask Sam, he is in jail, and I've found people don't just suddenly become murderers one day, it's generally a process and although you're probably in denial he was on that path already when you were married. You are entitled to your opinion though.
My guess is him being a stay at home Dad was probably a clue. He was a grown ass man of working age yet he allowed his wife to provide for his family. I've seen the transcripts. Sam bought into the machismo way of life, I know this because he was a pimp. What grown ass man like that allows his wife to provide for his family?
Now if you're a college educated executive and him an artist I'd support the decision but I'm guessing from what I know about him and what I know about the area I'd put money it was a decision that was forced upon the two of you because of a lack of education, work ethic, or both.

She is a good Mom and she has alot of good role models around her. There was no sign 7 years ago that Sam was a drug/pimp. They where two young kids just out of school. She did what she had to do to be able to support her baby (xxx). She didn't sit home and live off the system. She went and got a job to take care of him. Sam wasn't doing that so she did what she knows was the right thing to do. But again there was no sign of what Sam has become 7 years later. The reason I say 7 years is because I was around him when she was pregnant.
Sam had the same role models around him also. He chose to become a Thug she is not responsible for his life choices.
Mikey: unless you know for sure about her life and what she is doing about it you can STOP WITH THE NAME CALLING.
You have no clue what her life plan is for her family. Everything takes time and money to make the moves you are talking about.
I have read all the motions and all of the court docket that is online for both trials I think it was a good suggestion for her to do. After reading all of the information there is NO WAY ANYONE WOULD THINK SAM AND CAM DIDN'T DO THE KILLINGS.

According to maycrazy williams is going to die in jail. My bet is he wins his appeal. It may take five years. Given that Pettaway was found not guilty the only difference between both trials are mental illness, race and a witnesses testomony right?

If he doesnt win his appeal he has a bad lawyer. Its one thing if pettaaway was found guilty. Because pettaway is innocent a lawyer should b e able to free williams. Im not saying williams is innovent but a good lawyer can get him back on the streets.

He truley doesn't deserve an appeal.... but this is the USA..... Hope his new lawyer fails miserably!
I hear Starla has filed for divorce...... still thinking they were married only to keep her from testifying...... especially if she has filed for divorce.......

being in the field of mental health, i just wanted to stress that the terms mental retardation and mental illness are not synonymous and are not interchangeable. big difference. there is often comorbidity amongst the two, but they are not one in the same. if i have missed something about the diagnosis of a mental illness, please correct me. sorry, one of my many pet peeves.
