I love all animals, when the hell did I turn into such an old fartknocker. Damn.
I'm not a dog person, meaning I haven't owned a dog as an adult and don't know much about proper dog behavior around other dogs, except for what I have learned from hanging out w/ dog owners. I would totally need to learn how to properly train a dog if I ever got one.
Also I both like and don't like dog parks. Animals usually like me, but at the dog park the dogs aren't interested in people.

Some relatives were talking about steak tartare and I've never heard of it, anyone here have it?
It's raw minced steak with onions and capers and seasonings served with crusty bread which I like, but I do not like the raw egg yolk on top which is the traditional way to serve it. I can't do raw eggs.

My childhood cookies did come in a blue tin. Dansk, Danish butter cookies. My Aunt Dottie made the best chocolate chip cookies which were sent to usin a red tin with a floral pattern on top.

I just saw a commercial for a bacon cheeseburger that came with a side of melted cheese to dip your burger in. Holy moly.

That's the way to do it. Damn millennials doing it the hard way and adding 100 unmelted cheese slices to their burgers.

Life advice, give it!
Don't take a girlfriend to the Eifel tower if you don't intend to get married...
Have the courtesy to give the illusion that your husband has a say in things.

Do any of you own a bread-maker?

I did for a little while. I didn't like the way the bread came out, it was too dense and heavy. It was good for pizza dough, tho.

Hmmm, that interests me, but only because I sometimes buy a ball of dough at the Amish market and make calzones. NomNomNom. I don't know if it would be worth it to lose counter space tho.

I would invest in a French no knead ceramic bread pot instead. They're attractive looking and you bake it right in the oven. Emile Henry is the most common brand.
