Earlier today.............Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders officially endorsed his former rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.
Sanders, who suspended his campaign last week, had long said he'd support whoever won the Democratic nomination. Sanders made the announcement as he remotely joined Biden on a livestream video.
"Today I'm asking all Americans ... to come together in this campaign to support your candidacy, which I endorse," Sanders said to Biden.
Sanders added: "We've got to make Trump a one-term president and we need you in the White House. So I will do all that I can to see that that happens."
The two talked about the nation's coronavirus response and policy issues, with Biden announcing the formation of several policy working groups, and also joked about playing chess.
"I appreciate your friendship, and I promise you I will not let you down," Biden said to Sanders.

I'm hoping Bernie will appear regularly on Biden's livestream as they work together on national and pandemic policy formation.
Bernie's very direct and consistent in his message and in conversation, plus he attracts a lot of viewers.
I think together they could increase Biden's audience substantially, the media might be more motivated to show clips of Biden's livestreams as an alternative to Trump's daily reality show, and some of Bernie's most die-hard supporters would likely become more inclined to vote for Biden in November.

Bernie could bring Biden some tapioca pudding. That would be a nice thing to do.

They're not working together in close proximity, so I think the tapioca pudding is off the table.
Maybe when this virus is contained, they'll be able to take a break from working on policies to help get the country back on track and down a cone or two though.

Remember the pix we saw last week of the voters standing in line wearing masks in Wisconsin? The republicans made them risk their health to vote. Guess who won that state’s Supreme Court seat. That’s right, the Democrat, baybay. HaHaFuckinHa.

A bit of poetic justice and a good sign for Democrats.
Judge Jill Karofsky’s victory marked the first time in a dozen years that a Supreme Court challenger beat an incumbent — and just the second time in more than half a century. Her win over Justice Daniel Kelly will shift conservative control of the court from 5-2 to 4-3.
The pandemic triggered a record surge of absentee balloting as voters looked for a way to stay at home to prevent themselves and others from getting ill.
But, a lot of people who requested absentee ballots didn't get them in time and were forced to either not vote or go to the polls after Justice Kelly and the state's conservative Supreme Court ruled against postponing the election (Karofsky wanted it postponed in the interest of public health).
Wisconsin also released the Democratic primary results today. It's kind of a moot point now, but Biden beat Sanders (65% to 29%).

...and the other day I read that Mrs. Obama will be involved in the get out the vote. Good!

I thought the Obamas were very strong in their campaigning efforts for Hillary Clinton in 2016. But, it wasn't enough to propel her to victory in those handful of midwestern states that Obama had won in the previous two elections.
Joe Biden seems to be on more solid footing with Democrats and swing voters than she was though, if the primaries and his performance against Bernie Sanders are solid indicators. And, I won't be surprised if a significant percentage of those swing voters choose not to vote for Trump again.
But, I expect the Trump campaign to go all out in terms of smearing Joe Biden like they did with Hillary Clinton. It's probably gonna get pretty ugly once Obama endorses Biden.
Hopefully, Biden will be able to simply use Trump's own words and actions (and lack of actions) to make his case, and he'll be able to strongly defend himself when appropriate.

I wish VP Biden well and I sure hope he's got some guidance on how to deal with trump.
I don't know how to deal with someone who acts like trump does other than to cross the street in order to avoid them. trump is a grown ass man who name calls and then will get right in your face and lie and deny shit that there is proof of him saying and doing. Everyone laughed when he said he could shoot someone and not lose any voters. He's killed thousands now and he still has his supporters & defenders. Good luck, Joe. I hope you win.

Joe needs to pick the right VP as/for his backup, so as to satisfy those who believe Joe is getting slow. The right VP will help Joe win big!

Cars, I honestly feel Biden is as capable as Franklin D. Roosevelt was in his fourth and final term as president. I see them both severely worn out and in need of a future like that of Duchess' horses.

Mentioned Kamala Harris over a year ago even to be POTUS, so she would be a smart choice for Joe now.
