If they'd promised him anything, his agent would have flooded it to the media by now.

I couldn't possibly know this but I think the Eagles organization were not entirely honest with him, I think they told him one thing and did another. [/i][/size]
Anything is possible but I kind of doubt that is the case. He was already announced as the starter for this year and his contract is up next year. If he read more into it that's on him and his agent but in today's NFL, a 2 year contract for a QB is 2 years to seal the deal and become the face of the franchise or ride off into the sunset.
There was a rumor the Broncos were slightly interested in Bradford but not for what they were asking for him. This draft is one of the most interesting with regard to teams jockeying for position I've seen in quite a while. Kinda reminds me of the 83 draft when all those QB's came out and there was so much drama with Elway and Baltimore, then Kelly and the USFL, and Marino going so low...that was a fun year. Somewhere there's a tv show like 30 for 30 I think that goes into a lot of detail. I'll try to find it.

It wasn't a rumor. They called our front office interested to make a deal. Bradford's already been paid out though, so his price tag is huge. Today the Broncos announced that we are so far apart on price that they cannot move forward.

Are you excited to watch Mark Sanchez next year? Sarcasm01

Now that's a starter you can bench without an argument hah
Panthers didn't tag Josh Norman so he went FA. Imagine him in green up Beckham's ass twice a year in the regular season. I'd pay to see that show. Redskins beat us to him though.

I'm watching the draft and I just got to see our 2nd pick used on a QB.

I heard the commentators say that the QB the Rams took is expected to start this season. I don't know anything about these college boys but he must be exceptional to be getting on the field so quickly.

As an aside, the audience is booing the hell out of Roger. *snicker*
Wentz really reminds me of Ben Rothlisberger from a size and mobility standpoint.

Plus, Big Ben came out of Miami, Ohio, not exactly a football hotbed.

This kid might be a lot better than people expect.

On another note, with Dallas selecting Ezekiel Elliott as a RB, they will again be the favorites to win the NFC East, as long as Tony stays healthy.

If he goes down again, it'll be wide open.
This will be an interesting draft year to watch in the next few years. I wonder if that Paxton Lynch kid will make it all the way down to Denver.
Zeke Elliot was an interesting choice that early. RB's are pretty undervalued these days. Not surprised it was Dallas bucking the trend though. They do like some ground game.
Dallas wanted Bosa, but San Diego got scared off Tunsil by:

So SD took Bosa, Dallas took their backup in Zeke, and the Jags walked in to steal Jalen Ramsey. From there on, it was a crapshoot. Big blue reached on a Big Apple... the Colts took a center in the top 20... Ol Chipper traded back into the first to get a guard... corners started flying off the board. Crazy draft.
Honestly, I'm kinda glad the Eagles traded up for Wentz at this point. Round 1 was a minefield. Jack's injury concern, Tunsil's character concerns... player values got fast and loose QUICK.
IMO, Eagles gave up way too much for that pick. Of course, time will tell, and someone may turn out to be a genius...but still, that's a lot to give up.

You're not alone in that thought. I've read that over & over again.

I wish I didn't feel so meh about it all. Smiley_emoticons_slash

I'm a huge Peyton Manning fan and this commercial is very cool.

In the spot, teammates, friends and family read from handwritten letters they’ve received from Manning over the years. His brother Eli and dad Archie are there. So are former coaches Tony Dungy and David Cutcliffe. A woman reads a letter Manning sent to her after the death of her son. ESPN reporter Chris Mortensen, who is battling cancer and broke the news of Manning’s retirement, is also featured. Teammates from both the Colts and Broncos also make appearances.

Agreed. Wentz is a solid pick. Watched him with Gruden last weekend. Pretty solid base of fundamentals and he's smart. A little footwork and release work and he could very well develop into a franchise QB. We should know by his sophomore year if he's the bomb or a bust. I think Gruden got a chub during this play diagram.

Running the offense
The first night of the draft came and Wentz.

I'll say this, his demeanor impresses me. They kept grilling him and Goff... Wentz was the natural speaker of the two. Goff looked like the typical nervous kid caught up in the bright lights and hype of NFL-hollywood. Wentz was cool, calm, collected and answered questions like a natural conversationalist. Deion Sanders was like, "You were uptight yesterday." Wentz is all, "No, not really." I mean who wouldn't just agree with Deion Sanders just because you're starstruck talking to Deion Sanders? It's Primetime! You just disagreed with Primetime! Wentz don't care, he isn't afraid to speak to people and he sounded pretty smart when he did.

I really don't see why people keep saying the Eagles gave up so much. The Redskins gave up their next two firsts and a current 2nd to move up from 6th overall to 2nd overall to take RG3. The Eagles gave up a first next year, a 2nd the following year, and a current 3rd and 4th to move up from 8th to 2nd and take Wentz. Much less. Plus they get a conditional 4/5th pick back next year. Maybe you see RG3 as worth more to move up? I don't think his career proves that. The Eagles gave up a lot less. Next years first is the only pick that really hurts. You could trade Bradford after this season for a 2018 2nd (Which I think they probably do.)

Plus, the 3rd rd pick wasn't even our pick. It's Detroit's pick for our 4th last year. Which Chip did to recoup some ammunition because he traded our 2nd this year for Bradford. Heck, the Rams gave up two firsts, two seconds, and two thirds for spot 1, a 4th, and a 6th.

I saw that happening with Deion & Wentz and I thought he was very poised. The first kid, his adrenaline was pumping, I heard it in his voice. It's very cool to see someone's dreams coming true. They are in the NFL now. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Also, I was glad to see you address what the Eagles gave up to get him. I agree with you, I didn't think it was that much either but the amount of bleating going on belies that.
