I really like the Scandinavian modern design that uses a lot of white in their interiors, but even they put their books on the shelf the right way.

I like wood a lot but I've read about the difficulty in keeping them clean because they ARE wood. I prefer wood and have been looking at them but I need to feel them. Ugh. I rarely come across anything I hesitate to buy online given it's my preferred method of shopping. I want a board with some weight. Bah.
