The zapper attracts bugs so keep it 20-30 ft away from where you are, I have a couple in my backyard and they work good but don't put them next to you. Also if you get some fluorescent paint and paint your naked body with it you can have a really cool full moon ceremony.
You can read from the glow off a Sally moon.
I ended up getting a Black Flag 15-foot reach zapper and haven't been bitten on the patio since.
I also don't have flies getting into the kitchen from the back door any more.
The zapper hangs from the patio roof -- so far nothing but flies, mosquitoes, and small moths have been lured in.
You will know it when a June bug gets in there.
The minute I read that ^^^^ I could hear it crackling in the zapper.
